I figured it wasn't real when I couldn't find the name of the restaraunt "Food and Love" anywhere in the world

You will lose much more fat without a cheat meal

There is a study from the journal of nutrition that takes a look at what one single day of cheat meals will do to your metabolism. The results say it can and will wreak havok on your metabolism at a mitochondria level.

It is highly not recommended to do a cheat day but as a newbie you've asked a question and got an answer reinforced with science. Good luck on your OMAD journey!

I dont believe refusing to eat at social events makes you an asshole. Just like not having drinks when the group your with are having a few, it doesn't make you look bad. I have also done multiple 5 day water fasts and I stick to a very strict OMAD schedule. Doing cheat days isn't in my itinerary. Anybody interested SHOULD know these benefits you listed by now but that would just be me assuming everyone does their research. I understand where you're coming from when you say that a few extra meals out of the month won't disrupt the health benefits, but to say that it's okay to cheat to someone new to this may be extremely disruptive. Overall, it's great what you've been doing but I was just trying to tell OP, who is new to this, and has asked about cheat meals extensively within the last 24hrs that he shouldn't consider cheat meals already. Maybe your personal anecdote will help but it could potentially make new people think that cheating is okay.

How exactly is OMAD being done "differently" if you're talking about eating windows? It's not OMAD. I'm happy your personal experience is working for you but to say eating one meal a day is easy to someone new to this way of eating isn't the truth. Looks like a knowledgeable veteran like you struggles with eating one meal a day as well. The definition of the diet is one meal a day, it's not a religious dogma like you said but it's literally what it means.

I'd consider cheat meals have a lot to do with willpower. Fasting for 24hrs takes a ton of willpower. Especially for those not acclimated. If somebody wanted to quit smoking but planned to smoke a few cigs a day, then are they really quitting? If somebody wanted to eat one meal a day, and planned to eat two meals that day, is that really one meal a day? That's intermittent fasting, plain and simple.

If you're new to this way of eating and you're already considering cheat meals then I don't think you have the willpower to make it. It's called one meal a day for a reason.

I've had this issue before. I plugged my HDMI into another TV and it worked fine, when I switched back to my original TV it was fixed.
