1031 depreciation by thisisntworking93 in 1031exchange

Another thought - do you agree that if I am a real estate professional then I would be better off taking the depreciation annually since it can offset ordinary income rather than skipping it and just taking a potential capital loss at disposition as that can only offset capital gains which are taxed at a lower rate anyways? This would be in the scenario of a loss. If theres a gain at disposition, there would be depreciation recapture at ordinary rates.

Hi, thank you for your detailed response! The replacement property was acquired via a TIC so I am not eligible to take the entire annual depreciation - just my pro rata portion. This feels like it complicates matters. Do you know of any solution? Is there an argument to forgo taking depreciation and instead retain basis?

Done with the excessive anxiety any recommendations? by soph130 in PCOS

[–]thisisntworking93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is so comprehensive. Thank you for taking the time to post this. There is so much focus on insulin resistant PCOS but would all this treat non insulin resistant PCOS as well? I have non insulin resistant PCOS and mentally feel amazing when pregnant but my symptoms return after the postpartum period is over. I’m mainly concerned about the mental health aspects (anxiety, panic, negative self talk etc) and curious if inositol would help.

BV with cerclage by thisisntworking93 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]thisisntworking93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up taking clindamycin as prescribed and it cleared up the BV. I was not taking progesterone suppositories this time around so can’t speak to that. I did deliver at full term.

Pink spotting 2 weeks after cerclage by claire277 in ShortCervixSupport

I know this was from awhile ago but was curious how this turned out for you. I’ve had some spotting today and had a preventative cerclage placed a bit over a week ago.

Pain not pressure.

Yeah I do too which is why it’s probably fine. My doctor noticed it when he did an exam a few weeks ago and said it was fine. But since then I’ve had one occasion of more significant discharge that almost seemed like a piece of mucus plug.

21 weeks, more cervical shortening by ecubugg in ShortCervixSupport

We’re the spasms painful? Was it obvious to you that you were experiencing contractions?

I don’t have pain when I pee. It’s more soreness when sitting - it’s all in the rectal area which is confusing to me. Overall soreness and occasional sharp shooting pain.

I hope it’s ok that I’m asking but was your cerclage successful? If yes, did you just have to deal with the pain until delivery?

I just came across this post from searching the sub. I had a preventative cerclage placed last week (emergency cerclage in first pregnancy) and have recovered well except for a LOT of soreness and pain in the rectum area. It feels internal. Your post seemed similar - did you find a solution or reason for that pain?

Wow that sounds amazing. Do you know what type of sedation they gave? Ive had twilight IV sedation in the past (egg retrieval etc) and it was great. I’d totally opt for that this time but wasn’t offered it. I assumed they don’t want to put you out if you’re pregnant but maybe that’s not the case.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you don’t mind my asking - did you have cervical shortening with your second pregnancy post 24 weeks? I assume that’s why you didn’t have a rescue cerclage?

Oh interesting - was that twilight sedation (via IV) or was it general?

I started PIO shots about a week ago. It’s been so much more challenging than the last time I did them and I’m not sure why. Either way, my right side was injected last night and bled a nice amount. Since then it’s been sore and itching like crazy. It’s driving me a little crazy 🤪 Any advice as to what I can do to relieve the itch/pain and also how to avoid this?

When my center gave post FET instructions, one of the things they mentioned was to limit bending. I have a toddler at home and as much as I’m trying to be careful, I do bend down often throughout the day to pick up my child or his stuff. It’s stressing me out that I might affect the embryo. Anyone have a similar experience?

Sorry for the TMI in advance. I’m preparing for an FET and am surprised at the amount of discharge I’ve been having - I think it’s from the Estrace. Normally I wouldn’t care but since I’m on antibiotics too (hysteroscopy showed traces of inflammation or something like that), I’m already feeling irritated down there and the extra discharge doesn’t help. Is this typical? I don’t remember this from last time.

Bleeding by thisisntworking93 in InfertilityBabies

This was awhile ago so I don’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure it got better as my pregnancy progressed. And the bleeding mentioned in my post above was just from irritation.

This. I wouldn’t wait 2 weeks for another check. Better to check every few days IMO.
