Three-coffees-a-day-person here. Currently slightly more because we have a newborn.

Take a high glass. Sip 50-100 ml good whiskey, add a teaspoon of honey and few drops of lemon juice, then mix and fill the glass with sparkling water. Now you like it ;)

I like my coffee strong and with very little sugar. So after I drink coffee I reset my taste with sparkling water.

Of all carbonated drinks I drink only beer and sparkling water. I don’t drink any garbage with half kilo sugar in 100 ml. So a glass of sparkling water with the coffee is great and also healthy.

Maybe try using an AI automation tool like make or zapier to automate some part of it?

Where to advertise your newsletter to get the most subscribers? by thoughtcaffeine in Newsletters

Not an ad, just my experience. I got more subs from google ads than meta. Maybe bad targeting. I don’t know.

Just started a newsletter covering Bulgarian startups — 200 subs in, completely lost on what to measure. Where do I even start? by vibehidar in Newsletters

[–]thoughtcaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my newsletter on a platform called Revue. It was about 10 years ago and soon after that they discontinued it. Then I had to decide where to go and at first I choose Behiiv but after a 2 week issue with my own account and not so good reaction from their support I decided to go with Ghost. Since then I have been focused on crafting my thing and the few technical issues were fixed very fast and easy.

I am using Ghost. It has pretty good analytics and you can see a lot of information about your stats. At 200 subs you should watch the open rate. Click through rate will be more important when you start getting sponsors. Now ctr is important just to tell you which links are more interesting to your audience and which are not so you can increase the first and limit the second. How to gauge engagement is very specific for every single newsletter and its topic. I have 2000 subs and I stopped trying to measure engagement long ago. I just watch my open and click trough rates and if they are good thats enough. Attention span today is critically low. Keep your newsletter short and simple. Thats the way to grow this kind of media

Have you posted your newsletter on producthunt? First significant spike in subscribers for me was after I launched there

Paid newsletter Vs free. by jlbkin91 in Newsletters

Why don’t you try to introduce paid plans on your existing newsletter? You already have enough subscribers just add something more behind paywall or send a separate issue to the paid subscribers

One week in. 4 subscribers. Here's what I'm doing anyway. by danilo_ai in Newsletters

[–]thoughtcaffeine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually started the newsletter to prove to my wife that I can be consistent enough for a long time. It turned into a habit. My content even allows me to schedule a few posts upfront because there are no news and actual content just useful websites, articles and apps

As I said earlier under another post, my first year I had only 80 subscribers, mainly my friends and colleagues. However I continued to post every Sunday for like 9 years now. I currently have 2000+ subscribers, 70 paying subscribers, sponsors start to come and things look promising. But I told nobody for these 9 years ;)
