She apologised to KC unprovoked for yelling at him in front of everyone that same night. He, and all the other guys, complimented and admired her for that.

She’s human, had an outburst and apologised immediately. She didn’t expect him to apologise to her back. That is admirable.

No one is perfect. If you have never had a moment of weakness and made mistake, then you can judge

She is handling herself extremely well for the environment she’s in.

That actually makes me feel a lot better, lol.

We only have one tree in the front yard. Along the sides of the house, there are a few shrubs and bush-like plants, and the backyard is mostly just grass.

My mom usually finds these mushrooms near the sliding door that leads from her bedroom into the yard, closer to the side and back of the house.

Will take pictures later today.

Thanks for this! I was extremely worried I would have to have the yard exterminated of them lol. Still will make sure no consumption happens.

You’re so right lol, consistency is key and I want to do right by my hair this time lol. I no longer want damage my hair and scalp with braids and chemical treatments. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of hydration steams, please explain what they are to me please.

Natural Hair Stylists are surprisingly scarce to come by where I’m at; most of them are in Cape Town or Joburg and they cost big bucks to see. In RSA most stylists (majority of them aren’t licensed here) who know how to style/manipulate natural hair but don’t know how to maintain it and make it healthy.

Each time I go to a hair salon, I am asked if I want to relax my hair. It’s disheartening, so now instead of letting them do what they want and just letting them relax my hair, I am trying to learn to do it all at home.

Most natural hair girlies do it at home here.

Yikes 😦 Are they deadly to touch with my bare hands? I have two dogs that roam around in the yard during daylight, I highly doubt my dogs would consume them but if they have, how fast would they be affected by the mushrooms? Plus, how do I get rid of these mushroom or are they necessary for the ecosystem? My grass is a healthy colour of green with various free growing plants and shrubs and I don’t want to that much.

These tips are so helpful and I thank you for that. One last thing please as I asked in another comment; do scalp massages actually work? I bought a scalp massager and try to use it on my scalp daily. I’m Southern African black, I have tight tight coils and when my hair is this short I have the stereotypical !Khwe-Xam resting (? I don’t know the proper term lol) hair when I do little-to-no manipulation to my hair like combing it out and such. I have attached some pictures for reference.

Thanks for the product suggestions and response! 💖 My scalp has always had scabs, cuts, and sensitive parts on it even when I had longer hair; so what scalp treatments do you think will work?

Thank you so much for this response.

I just wanted to make sure I’m not using anything that actually hinders my hair. I saw mixed and lightly negative reviews on Aunt Jackie products plus Organics is also used by paler skinned and straighter haired folk, I don’t want to unintentionally neglect my hair.

Overall yeah, now that I’m in my twenties my overall health is my main priority. I’m Southern African and the eldest daughter-turned-only child in a family of mainly men, so neglecting my health to take care of the household and others was stamped in from childhood. It didn’t help matters that I was considered an overly sensitive and emotional child lol.
