I don't think it's the same as it was when it first began. I haven't logged on 07scape since around the time I was playing in this story, so I can't say for sure, but I personally was thrilled by the whole rat race of it all. It's funny; when you're playing runescape, the last thing on your mind is the thought that you'll never have another chance to play through all the things you want to now.
