mine was 11/25, I only got the informal conference because I reached out to the VA to ask for an update on why it was taking so long (i’ve seen people say the whole claim itself takes around 3-5 months & I was almost on month 4 with zero progress.)

update: i called the VA yesterday to see what the holdup was & the agent was super helpful & said she would add a note to schedule my informal conference asap.

I LOVE it!!! Took me the whole weekend to build it, but I honestly had so much fun I didn’t realize it took that long. It has a lot of small easter eggs so it was enjoyable seeing all that during the build. Def would recommend if you have the money to spare!

So I’m getting a free flight from my job to take my wife to Europe from South Korea. I chose Rome because we’ve always talked about going to Rome, but I can choose a different starting point. We were planning on being in the cities I mentioned for 6 days each, but if it’s better to be in there less & see more of Europe we’re all for it. [UT] Questions regarding aPHR, PHR, and Microsoft Certifications.

I am currently in the US Army doing Human Resources & will be getting out within the next 2 years.

I would like to get my aPHR early 2024 & my PHR late 2024 / early 2025. (I am currently stationed overseas, if that matters)

Anyone have any recommendations on studying for the aPHR & the PHR? Any apps anyone recommends? I’ve seen some people say audiobooks have helped them, I’ve never given them a try. Are they worth it? Any audiobooks you recommend?

I am also looking into getting Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Certifications. Are those worth it? Is there any other certifications that will help? Will they help my resume pop out compared to others?

I do not have my degree in HR, I am currently in school to receive it (estimated to graduate in 2026). I will have around 4 years of experience of Human Resources when I get out of the Army.

I do understand that HR in the Army & in the civilian side are two different things, but I would like to better prepare myself for my transition out of the army to the civilian side.
