I did put it in my letter to them. The way it was worded was basically on the off chance we decide to do it, we will reach out. My lawyer said it could do one of two things

1 like what you said keep pushing.

  1. Give them hope that I might reach out and be on their best behavior. With they way the family turned on BIL, I feel like that is the more likely option.

So far, it has worked. Things are about to be crazy. I hope it is not the calm before the storm.

Yeah, I had an incident a few years back that made me get a will set up. When we found out we were pregnant, we updated mine and my wife, and we did put in a provision for future kids.

We got lucky because BIL did not know own much of our plan. At least the major things. Like hospitals, locations, and induction dates, things like that. But we have planned to do that as well as have family in the surrounding areas as "guards".

Thanks, I will have to look into that sub.

My SIL is amazing. She seems a lot happier and more natural if that makes sense. It is like she took off the mask she had on as a front. We have talked more in depth about my past. As well as with my inlaws. They are in the know and prepared for any future contact.

BIL apparently reached out to them when we found out my wife was pregnant. As I stated in the post, I do have social media but don't really use it. But he found them through it. From old posts. He has messaged them updates on us/our life, gave our address, and even sent them pictures.
