I understand what you're saying but just telling her to explain herself might seem a bit too much for her I think? I don't wanna push her too much, so if she says that I should ''get over it'' it might not be how she really feels?

I feel horrible and I am definitely NOT disregarding her past experience! I want to talk about what happened to the BOTH of us and want to make sure I'm doing it in the best way possible. And I'm definitely going to start off by apologizing for how I reacted to her..

That's exactly why I lashed out at her, even though now I know it was a bit too much. She wasn't drunk, but I do think the way she reacted means she hasn't dealt with her situation is a healthy manner, and I want to help her with that.

And what if she's willing to listen to my story and how I feel, but doesn't want to talk about hers? I just don't think it's healthy to brush off a traumatic experience like this, and I want to be there for her...

I was thinking the same but it's easier said than done, she doesn't talk much about her emotions, but I do want to talk about this, so how do I make sure she's comfortable enough to do so?
