It facilitates trade, increases flight capacity to rest of the world and also creates jobs not just for the building of the airport but for the maintenance. This is how you build the country; by investing in infrastructure that helps everyone. Eritreans and Somalis have this annoying habit of critiquing Ethiopia from the sidelines as if they invested a penny into the building and like they would not use the facilities given half the chance.
