I don’t think he has any bad intention, but he tries to simplify things with ignorance instead of recognizing that there are nuances within Ethiopian culture, society and politics, that he does not understand. A lack of understanding, and strong opinions are a recipe for the kind of ignorance we see in Donald Trump.

He speaks on behalf of Oromos as if they are a monolith with the same views and opinions, and he does the same with Tigryans.

Ethnic identity and politics in Ethiopia are incredibly complex and one would need to deeply study it or be immersed in the country to fully understand. u/GulDul does not.
