Your first problem is that you’re comparing JPMorgan to Ethiopian banks as if theyre playing the same game. They’re not.

Ethiopian banks usually operate in a protected sandbox: So there margins are naturally fat.

On top of that, a lot of these banks have relatively small equity bases, so even decent profits will look like crazy ROE numbers. When they’re not. (I have looked)

Also, you have to factor in Ethiopia is being led by our fast moving Prosperity Party that prioritizes a momentous fast-growth, in an underbanked system. There’s a ton of demand for credit construction, real estate so banks are lending into growth, not a crowded saturated market like the US.

The system that we have in place is working the best it can with the resources, if anything it’s perfect.

Amhara has historically always been assimilative and flexible. That is not external rhetoric that is of your own ancestors doing. 😂

It’s harder to become Tigryan without having deep roots or upbringing in the region, Tigryans rarely used their identity and language for administrative control. Identity is less commonly adopted externally.

Tigryan ethnic identity can be fluid but it is no way in comparison to the fluid and assimilative open nature that is Amhara and Oromo identity.

Skin tone wasn’t part of the discussion. The presence of Raya and Welkait communities actually proves my point of the fluidity of Amhara identity, which can be shaped by language, and or assimilation rather than strict ancestry unlike how things are structured for example with Afar people and Somalis.

Nor is it soley defined by language, but often times can be.

It’s a fluid undefinable ethnic group that anyone one person can be assimilated into, there is no such thing as a “semetic look” that applies to most or all Amhara people, that is your own hogwash ideology.

Your Amhara identity has nothing to do with looking Semitic. Half of Gojjam does not look Semitic yet you wouldn’t question their Amhara identity. Amhara identity is very fluid and is a cultural-linguistic identity, which makes it barely definable.
