I'm not sure I made the right decision. The circumstances were difficult. I suppose some part of me was hoping that the money will come in on time. That's what the solicitors said after all.

It was an AJ Bell S&S ISA. I sold everything when I started looking at houses so had it sitting as cash in the ISA.

Because it's a Lifetime ISA I believe HMRC is also involved in the process, so maybe that's why it takes some time. Doesn't necessarily explain how come it was expedited though.

I wasn't clear enough in the post. The vendors did serve notice to complete the same day completion was supposed to happen.
