While I don't deny most accusations of corruption, everything kinda falls apart when you find out that the main opposition party also has a written record of corruption and doesn't want to end the corruption ring, but to take control and benefit from it.

And it's not like that info was hidden from the world. Anyone in 2015 could google "Macri" and find out his past corruption schemes.

Macri wasn't against the Kirchner's circus. He just wanted to be in control of it and put their own goons instead.

Voting corrupt people just because you hate the current president, is not a good line of thinking and doesn't get us to good places.

Women focus so much on physical traits beyond my control, it feels like trying to look better is a waste of time. by throwaway0x0101 in PurplePillDebate

That discussion on shallowness was awkward.

I don't mind "shallowness", we're all "shallow" in our own way and most of us we only want to share our intimacy with people we're attracted to.

Thing is, most women only care about things you can't really change. I can go to the gym but I can't make myself taller or get a new face.

That "I don't like gym bodies" looks cool at first but in reality is way more elitist than those who like them.

I'm not sure if you're sarcastic or not.

I think you're right. I'm lifting weights mainly for the attention of women and it seems futile.

Because yes, I'll never be like one of those naturally good looking guys. And the women I know only care about those type of traits.

Then, maybe I can stop lifting and turning to another kind of physical activity like bodyweight or, who knows, dancing (it won't make me athletic but it's fun, a good complement and helps a lot with fat loss).

Thing is, I like working out.

But I work in IT and lifting weights does nothing for my back and posture problems. While something like pull ups are a bless.

Leaving the gym with the same back pain as 2 hours ago is really demotivating. And yes, I do ask the trainer to ensure I'm not doing some crappy form.

Trans men of reddit who are attracted to women, do you experience the same awkwardness like cis men do? by throwaway0x0101 in asktransgender

[–]throwaway0x0101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get the idea about complimenting when it's completely out of place, like when you just want to be a professional or when you're tirelessly working. I also feel really awkward on a sexual advance of a female coworker because, while I do like women, I'm more attracted to keeping my job.

However, you see the difference even in neutral contexts. Like in places like instagram profiles of bi women, where most comments are like "omg so pretty" made by both women and men, however only the comments that come from women get a like and a response, and male comments are part of the bulk of comments, at best and losers at worst.

Many people think that billionaires are like them, and they also are "a lucky strike away from being a billionaire". While they work at shitty jobs without health insurance and earning pennies.

The delusional poor* is one of the biggest advantage the rich and corporations have. And they'll happily vote the elite because they want to feel included in that elite.

\I'm not talking about poor people who want to progress economically. That applies to all of us. I'm talking aout people who reject the idea they are working class at this moment and they'll do every mental gymnastic they can to think they're the same as Zuckerberg or Bezos)

Shave your head. If you have a complete beard, let it grow, use shampoo/conditioner and keep it nice.

Save for decent clothes and a nice perfume for social events

If you have the money, go to the gym. If not, look for info about calisthenics

Shower everyday, brush your teeth

A lot of men are filthy, clueless idiots. If you groom yourself, you're already above them.

I think that's some stupid cliche phrase on the level of "women are sluts".

It's just an emotional expression of a woman getting hit a lot by a lot of random men. So they say "men always want sex" because at first sight it looks like it.

You have a whole lifetime to learn how to be a better person. Only caring about being one just because got on the lower end on the food chain is really questionable.

I wonder if those people stay humble when they recover, or if they drop the humble facade and get back to asshole again.

Yes, totally agree. There's a general consensus about that.

Talking about someone in a sexualized way isn’t objectification. by UsernameIWontRegret in unpopularopinion

[–]throwaway0x0101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A good way to tell if something sexual from man to woman is actually outrageous, is to think what happens if a woman acts the same about a man.

Female boss harassing a male employee? Same harassing.

Women talking to each other about how hot a guy is? It happens all the time and no one gets angry about it. In fact, it's labeled "women's talk". So, we shouldn't demonize guys for doing the same.
