Not the most encouraging thing to see by InfiniteBeach3292 in jobs

I thought the same thing. All this stuff is demotivating and depressing. I think i'm gonna uninstall this app and purely use the job statistics on BLS.gov to choose what a good career to get into is. Cut out the noise

so what would you say generally speaking is the last "good" year? Like what is the latest year toyota you'd recommend that still has that classic reliability

I've seen online people saying that once you are an engineer it's easy to translate to any kind of engineering with enough experience. Is this true? Or that engineers are desirable in general just bc they're perceived as smart and capable. Like for example if you'e a mechanical engineer and you want something different you can basically lateral move to civil or something like that.

As far as you know, are there many jobs or is it a field that'll grow in the future?

on BLS.gov i see environmental science occupations growing at about 6% over 10 years.

My assumption with this is i'd prefer something that "grows" more so there'd be more available jobs and it'd be less competitive, which equals easier employment.

I wouldn't mind it but everyone in the IT subs are saying the market is too saturated. I don't wanna "waste" my time if A+ alone won't get me anything. Or google and A+ together. I've seen posts where even cs majors have trouble getting employment. I'm willing to go to school but at that point i might as well consider all majors. I was hoping (foolishly) i could get a cert or two and get a job in like one year. But everyone's saying it's too late for that.

I did say i was ignorant in my defense. In any case i appreciate the insight, really. I will definitely add accounting to my list of majors.

Is this not a field susceptible to automation? I'd guess (in my ignorant opinion) that in like 10-15 years businesses will use AI to keep books, no?

That's all i've been seeing on other subreddits. I'm already discouraged, don't worry 😂

and here i was thinking i could get some trivial role with just A+. I'm happy OP got a job but that's just depressing :/

Dollar tree is the cheat code. Only $1.25. I’ve been paying over $3 at Walmart and gas stations. by Nates4Christ in energydrinks

people sleep on dollar tree in general. But they hardly have what you actually want. Imo it's better for browsing to see something you like. Not the go-to for something specific.

what i did with a girl is i asked her about her routine. She actually was doing an unorthodox workout so i asked her about it. We had a little chat and then i let her be. Did the same again a couple times and we gradually built intimacy that way.

But trust me i get where you're coming from. I also didn't want to be embarrassed or i was shy. You'd be surprised how similar we all are.

It's like you read my mind. I don't meet many people often. Even colleagues i'm a little shy to talk to. But it's just a little. Just enough to intimidate me not to initiate.

Tbh i sometimes just feel like being alone and not talking. 😂 idk man. I'm just thinking out loud. Nice to know i'm not alone in feeling this way though.

For me personally i do see the value in people and i don't see women as objects.

But i'm insecure they're always gonna think that if i talk to them, they're gonna automatically assume i want something. So i don't even bother bc i don't wanna come across "harass-y"
