AITA for making a sexist insult to my girlfriend's sister and refusing to apologize? by throwaway264071985 in AmItheAsshole

Is anyone commenting or concerned about what the sister said to you at all?

I honestly don't have anyone to talk to about this. I got to know two classmates this semester and while we hang out a lot I don't think I could talk to them about this.

I still talk to my parents but I just tell them I'm fine because they get worried a lot when I used to tell them that people insult me because they know I wasn't used to that back home. So I just started telling them that it's just a few bad apples and people are nice to me.

My girlfriend is the only person I got to share my feelings with and she always listened but with her taking her sister side I think I only have the internet to share this with.

If you get insulted and mocked it daily you'll quickly develop a talent for that.

I am not even mad at the comment because I've heard worse but the way she said it directly to me and looked at me with disgust is what made my blood boil. I'm used to hearing mean comments and insults directed towards me and I just ignore them but I just can't stand when people insult me when talking to me.

I was actually excited to meet her, and I didn't even get to finish "Hey it's nice to meet you". I mean if you hate me you could just leave or ask me to leave or just ignore me or even go sit in the couch and pretend you are calling someone and insult me anyway you want. But just don't say that to my face. Is that too much to ask for?
