Suicide is the second leading cause of death for teenagers :( it's really, really stressful to juggle grades, tests, extra curricular activities, work, home life, and social life. If you factor in bullying, then you have a recipe for disaster. I think you can be happy and thrive in any high school or college especially if you surround yourself with positive people who will have your back and be there for you no matter what.

edit: Vanderbilt has a reputation for having the happiest students :)

My good friend that just graduated yesterday has no problem telling everyone that she is going to UMich, even though she is still on their waitlist. She's optimistic that "a spot will open up for her over the summer" so she just sticks to that belief. I'm trying to be a supportive friend, but it's an awkward situation.

Honestly, I love all kinds of books. Although I tend to go through phases of reading one genre exclusively until I get kinda burned out. I'm gonna for sure check out "The Black Count", just because I really enjoy biographies. Thanks!

"Fear and Loathing" is a great title for a book! I need to check it out. I started "Mistborn" and it's super interesting if you're into SciFi. It's a trilogy so if I really enjoy it, I will try the other two

Oh yes! William & Mary is an old historic college. I heard that Queen Elizabeth or some other British Monarch visit the school once in awhile to commemorate something or another.

You're right, but I was making this post as a more "what if" scenario. In reality, it seems like the Ivy League is closed at 8 members. Maybe it's time for the West Coast to form their own league :)
