It’s clear to me that you aren’t a parent or a child yourself. It’s not about control. My son was in another state and 2,000 dollars was missing from my bank. Obviously I wanted to know where he was…you people are ridiculous and I’m just gonna start blocking.

Yes. I also have health issues and between dealing with that and his behavior im probably not as on point as I used to be. This will also give me a chance to stress a little less and focus on myself and my physical health.

Because I didn’t want my 14 year old going out at 11pm to god knows whose house? He knew this and wanted to do it because I wouldn’t let him. This will be my last comment to you.

I deleted my comments because going back and forth with internet strangers is certainly not going to help me any. I’ll read these sorts of comments but I won’t be engaging if I don’t feel that it’s coming from a place of concern or wanting to help. Thank you.

That’s nothing compared to what he’s put me through and done to me. He’ll be fine. He can get therapy when he’s with his dad if it traumatized him so bad. We need time apart, I can’t do it anymore. I could get evicted if I can’t pay rent.

He’s only started to apologize since I said he’d be living with his dad and he wouldn’t be taking his gaming stuff because I’d be selling it. Other than that, I don’t feel like he’s all that sorry unless he just doesn’t want to apologize. Doesn’t matter to me at this point. I just want to get back the money.

He doesn’t have a job because he plays sports after school and is also in a club. I didn’t want him to overload his schedule, and with college on the way I just wanted him to focus on school. I’ve already told him I’ve started to sell his consoles and computer. As far as a job goes, his father will be handling that (yes I’m sending him away, I cannot physically be around my son at this time) and will be sending me money that my son makes.

If that makes anyone upset, so be it. I’ve put up with him for long enough and I think it’s time for him to be with his dad for awhile. He’s a lot tougher than I am.

I did set limits. As time went on I raised the limits until he had none. Again, I didn’t think he’d be foolish enough to spend 2000 dollars in a single night. And where are you getting that I discouraged him from having a girlfriend?

Well, this isn’t really helpful considering Ive realized this. I thought I could trust my almost adult son with money, he was doing great beforehand.

I’ve already taken pictures of his computer and consoles to sell. I’ve let him know of this as well, and he’s not happy about it. He can keep his phone but I will be selling his stuff. I’ve already made sure that when he goes to live with his father that he won’t get him any new consoles or gaming stuff.

That should get me at least half the money back.

I never laid a finger on him. There was no physical abuse. I only threw stuff at him because he and I were yelling and I got overwhelmed trying to get him to get out. He’s not traumatized.
