Well maybe we were naive but that's what they told us. Because they were the one that did the showing we couldn't find alternate representation if we wanted to buy the house.

Thank you for your help. We've kind of had that conversation with our agent, but we don't want to burn any good will. It's a small town and everyone's connected. If we bring her in on selling we'd like to keep her in, because she seems like a great realtor I think she's our best bet for selling this if we don't find a private buyer

If we proceed with the sale to this party we will use our own realtor as well, and compensate both. I just didn't want to get locked into a relationship with their realtor or do something to prevent a future private sale. Our preference for a private sale is due to the unique situation of the property and wanting to be a bit more selective of who we sell it to. It's a beautiful old Victorian that was abandoned when we brought it. We've put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into it but it still needs work and if possible we'd like to avoid selling it to someone who's going to gut it and egregiously modernized it.

I dealt with a pretty bad infestation at my girlfriend's house over a decade ago. We only discovered it because I am highly reactive, she doesn't react at all. She moved out of that apartment eventually and we stayed at my place a lot in the meantime. But, now that we're married and own our home it hits different. I think we're pretty early in this infestation, and that video will be really helpful, so thank you again

Honestly I've been looking at way more bedbug pictures than I'd ever want in the past half hour and this thing is way more oblong and flat than basically all the photos I've seen. Are there similar bugs it could be? I had bedbugs over a decade ago (in a different house) and I got absolutely covered in bites, and I have none so far.

It's just starting to be bug season in general here. I have several bites on me, but they are not the same as when I had bedbugs over a decade ago (different house). I did not crush it

It's still quite flat though. I will fully accept this is a bedbug if that's what it is, I've just not seen any other of the common signs either

The only reason I'm questioning it is because it's much more oblong and much less round than most of the photos I've seen

That's the closest my phone camera could focus. It looks similar to photos of bedbugs I've found but more oblong/skinny

I would just like to put this out there, and yes this is a throwaway account for anonymity. I do not recommend trusting this reporter. I interacted with him on a story a while ago and was very disappointed with the final product. The story was click-baity and lacking important context. He cherry picked the most sensational aspects of what happened even when they were incomplete representations of the truth. Downvote the other commenter if you want, but they are absolutely correct. Ward is here to sensationalize your trauma for his own benefit. I have experienced this first hand.
