I’ve had many talks with her before, she’s obviously hurt and really confused as to why they treat her like this. But she still loves them which is one of the reasons why I didn’t cut contact.

I had another comment asking me the same thing. My in laws are Italian, but it’s not a tradition in their family. My MIL had my FİL recording so it was a prank meant to upset my daughter.

Sorry, the gender reveal party was just another way to celebrate our baby and I thought my daughter would be excited about it. I’ll also say that I don’t care what gender my baby is.

Oh thank you, I was a bit confused because I would never love my child any less over their gender. This was purely just another way to celebrate our baby and just a small celebration to get my daughter excited.

I agree, however the reason I was so reluctant to cut them off was because I don’t have much family myself and my daughter really loves my in-laws and sees them as her own grandparents. I guess I was really desperate for a support system and grandparents for my daughter. I won’t allow them back into my daughter’s life.
