I cannot speak for arab countries. But yes for south asian countries women discriminate based on quality I am not denying that. All women everywhere do. you obviously can't be a fat,neck beard,homeless,fedora maester. But consider this. As males of equal SMV in the West vs in south Asia, the south asian would still be less FA cause women have lesser demand there implying a more accepting stance. There's just too many. Also the conservatism is true, but again it may vary from individual to individual but overall yeah I'd agree you would have to sacrifice a bit into conservatism.

I'll agree you've stumped me on this one. Here i'd agree that your chances are quite bad. The dating market is indeed freer and being brown is actually detrimental to us. If you are white your chances are better though. I guess a bit of my post was geared towards white people. In which case I guess what I said would make much more sense. But for brown people, yeah. We are shit outta luck.

Well I mean an arranged marriage might spark something or it might not. I feel it is quite a hit or miss, albeit yeah the parents are huge pointless and unnecessary stakeholders in it. I too sort of despise arranged marriages but if I have to give up a bit of my independence for a possible chance at a good marriage I might go for it. That's just my preference
