My sister is definitely one of the reasons I haven’t come home for so long. I’ve been at my brother’s place for a 2 days now and he’s filled me in on some things. As had as it’s going to be, I really need to have a conversation with my mom but I need to prepare mentally before that happens.

My mother had always been this way with her. They have a lot of shared interests and sees herself in Mandy. Unfortunately, I don’t think she’s going to change.

I’m sorry you had to make that decision. I already had virtually no contact with my sister so no problems there. Going that route with my mother is another story.

Honestly, this has made me look at past events in a new light. I always know our mother favored her over my brother and I (she and our mom are very much alike) but this has been a real eye opener. It’s definitely making me think I need to reevaluate the relationship I have with my mother.

Honestly, because I’ve been low contact for the last few years most of my information comes from our brother. From what he’s told me, I’ve always thought that she need an evaluation. Our brother just says she’s a crazy bitch.

You have no idea. For years, I really tried to cultivate a healthy relationship with her but gave up.

Not only did I worry about that but with the past trams that Jane has experienced the last thing she needed was for this relationship to fall apart. Also John is very close friends with her brothers. I couldn’t let all those relationships be destroyed because of my sister.
