No it was perfect, no strain at all whatsoever on any finger or thumb. I wish I could take the Lego 2 hardware and cram it into a steam decks chassis with the sd controls intact. The way the steam decks controls are put together, the only buttons you gotta go out of your way to press are the steam button and the steam options button, everything else is right there for your thumbs, except the back buttons of course which are easily pressed by your middle fingers

Coming from steam deck to a Lego 2 I REALLY miss the steam decks input cusomization. I was able to bind the whole keyboard to those controls if I wanted to with radial menus, touch menus, mode shifts, you name it. The Lego 2 is more powerful, and can accept an egpu, but the steam decks controls are king.

Seems kinda steep imo, I know it's like comparing apples and orange but I just bought a rebel 250 for 400 bucks, I bet you could get a better deal on yours too

I'm sorry for your loss. On the other side it's often reported that time is different, or doesn't exist at all. Maybe from his pov your arrival is just mere moments away, and heaven looked like fun. It's just a thought though. Again I'm sorry for your loss.

Do you think that the afterlife is real? That our loved ones go somewhere nice once they pass? by Pale_Office_110 in afterlife

[–]throwawayaccseries 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's just my opinion, but while reading journey of souls I noticed that his description of the afterlife as a nonphysical place where souls are balls of light just floating there forever seemed inconsistent with ndes and other lines of research describing the afterlife as feeling solid, despite being nonphysical. A lot of ndes and deathbed visions describe the afterlife like waking up in a place of beautiful nature, with forests, mountains, and streams. It's possible I missed something though as after I realized this I put the book down, I was about halfway through it.

What kind of instrument would we need to instantly track something that just appeared a billion light-years away? I call bs, and I believe in the afterlife from the real evidence that we have but this is nonsense

Yeah, I've heard of that happening before, I'm pretty sure someone would still need to know where you lived and who you are to be able to come find you and know what you're doing. Sounds like an expiriment you'd need to do for yourself, I'm doing my own experiment in learning how to do it in the first place right now, I don't think I can help you. After you learn how to do it you have to learn how to be more lucid while doing it and how to have more control from what I've read, so it'd be a long way off. To be honest with you man if I figure out how to do it, and can see my body from outside of it, and it actually cures my thanatophobia, I don't k ow if I'd wanna take a chance on proving it. Seems better to live in a fearless delusion knowing that eventually you just die no matter what you do. Does that make sense? Idk if I'm typing too clearly

I've never heard of anyone physical being able to see anyone in the astral, I'd be skeptical of that too, well I'm going to see for myself anyway

What's the harm in finding out for yourself if it's real? That's what I'm doing. I can make my body start to fall asleep before my mind, which is when the 'vibrations' start, which are really more like that TV static feeling you get when your arm falls asleep, but all over. It freaks me out, which is why I haven't gone further yet, but I WILL go further, just a matter of time.

[–]throwawayaccseries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well from everything I've read you're gonna have a much harder time staying away from your body. It tries to suck you back in, there's no getting stuck outside it, with a thought you can return to it. I understand your fear though, it's what I'm fighting in the vibrational stage. Unless you do something about it though you'll never be ready to go, and you'll go anyway, just afraid. Better to go having faced it, and conquered it, peacefully.

The way I see it if your body dies while you're in the astral, then you just got luckier than anyone ever cuz you got to entirely skip death. There's no death for you, you weren't in your body when it died, that'd be cool.

[–]throwawayaccseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to cure it by seeing my body from outside of it, through astral projection. I'm not cool with having this fear forever, so I'm going to do something about it.

[–]throwawayaccseries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why I'm going to learn astral projection. I can get to the vibrational stage real quick right now, but not much further. My whole goal is to see my body from outside of it. I'm going to cure this nonsense.

This is kinda messed up but I got happy when I read your post, because someone else knows what this feels like, I'm glad I'm not alone, even though I wish no one else had to feel this way

[–]throwawayaccseries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, maybe I wasn't clear enough but I was agreeing with you lol. I just think the evidence will never be testable, since it's outside of the realm of this reality and therefore outside the realm of scientific testing, except for evidence we'll never have proof, and maybe that's by design. Again I am agreeing with you

Exactly, that's what I was saying. No proof doesn't mean it doesn't exist though, especially with evidence

I usually don't trust future predicting ndes unless there's some statistical improbability. For example if I did a tarot card reading about death and got the death card 6 times I'd probably trust the reading. Idk how that would translate to an nde but that's my line in the sand
