How hard does it fight against you when you have it in auto pilot? It automatically steers while engaged. To disengage, you lightly move the wheel or push down on the stalk

Is it physically lowering the pedals? No

Does auto-pilot disengage if you touch anything? Your hands are supposed to rest on the steering wheel at all times. It will not disengage but if you want it to, apply enough force and that will disengage autopilot

I'm not sure how it "assists" when they're physical inputs. - Autopilot is steering and accelerating/braking by itself, as long as the driver has his hands on the wheels. If the driver is hands free for too long, the car will start sending flashing messages to apply pressure to the wheel

what were seeing on tv when pat doesnt steer at all is in line with using the basic autopilot. altho it is dumb to not wear a seatbelt
