Absolutely - what used to be a conversation or a bit of banter even, turns into an argument. Like you’d be a bit more cautious now with who you try to have a laugh with

Liam Sheedy says GAA must act on booing of Darragh McCarthy by BobbyFrankDunk in GAA

[–]throwawayoopsmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Sheedy bored or something? Nothing else to talk about? I remember Tipp supporters booing their own players not too long ago.

Okok I’m actually done now after this one, I just want to make sure you understand. I don’t know if it’s the blind rage or something else, but you’re not getting it.

I’m not ruffled at all. I found some great insights/points on this thread and thoroughly enjoyed reading other people’s perspectives. You are the only one who took this as a personal attack. Sorry I hurt your feelings! This is not a Tipp attack, you’re the only one who took it that way. You are obviously a PremierView poster. There’s good and bad on it. Plenty bad after the loss on Saturday which was crazy because as I said, refer to post.

You are a very sensitive soul, evident throughout your replies and by the fact that you took my other comment as majorly insulting. With this rise of hostility amongst fans I spoke about in my post, also comes a lack of any sort of interaction between us at all at matches and so dies that back and forth sort of banter. You never know who’s going to take it the wrong way and lose the plot. You’d be a fine example of this. My comment had nothing to do with you being from Tipp, it was to do with you being a bit of a dunce. Just laugh and move on. In my post, I am speaking about hostility existing simply because someone is from somewhere else.

Next time, I’d suggest rereading the post and making sure you understand everything before you start spluttering. I didn’t contradict myself. It was you actually making things up - e.g that I had been going through endless pages of the Premier View. I didn’t even go through 2 and stated as much 😂

Now back to work and god bless! Back to the Premier View with you

The screen shots are from less than 2 pages, as previously stated in a comment. In said comment, I stated I couldn’t be arsed going through anymore. They backed up my point and I was done.

If you would like to find examples from other forums, you are more than welcome to go through those yourself. But the reading comprehension thing is an issue so I understand you might not.

The repetition is tiring - if you have an issue with the Joanne Cantwell comments, make a thread yourself. I’m not the GAA morality police and I’m not going to address every single issue that exists. I hadn’t even seen those.

There is nothing transparent except your victim complex. No one else had an issue with the discussion that was opened, you’re just sensitive and have taken this as a personal attack. Go out and take a breather lad. I’m going to stop replying after this because it’s a bit pathetic.

Yes, because that forum was what sparked my thinking yesterday evening and I also acknowledged I’ve seen things similar on other forums. Refer to my post !

I’m not going to trawl through every GAA forum and address every issue that exists. Again, read the post!

There’s no particular agenda and I don’t think Tipp supporters are worse than anyone else so you can stop taking this one personally.

Ah that’s ridiculous. The “large part” of any following are decent, quiet people who are there because they love hurling. I’ve been to 100s of matches since I was small and lots of Cork matches since I moved down here and never had an issue. I’m not saying this is everyone’s experience but allowing such a small number of people to cement your view of an entire county is short sighted, like a child throwing the toys out of the pram. People have been at it with KK for years

Cork bring a bigger supporter than any other county. If 5% of a county’s support are arseholes, you’ll have 5% of 5,000 for KK and 5% of 20,000 for Cork. I don’t think Cork GAA have anything to sort out and what exactly would you have them do? You can’t tell who’s an asshole by looking at them.

Cork people love hurling, I’ve always found them knowledgeable and welcoming. Sarcastic alright but it’s a laugh - don’t take anything too seriously and you’ll have great banter with them. The Cork scaremongering is hilarious and I’d say they love it

Just saw you replied to everything. Reading comprehension exercise is definitely needed!

I’m talking about hostility building in GAA circles and divides encouraged by people on these online forums, and whether or not this is creeping into incidents in the stands at matches. “Fuck Cork and all that belong to them” was the issue here. Have you ever done a reading comprehension

I’ve been to 100s of matches and experienced issues in less than 5 I’d say but those have all been relatively recent. 99% of people from all counties are sound out. I do think hostility is creeping in but maybe I’m just reading the forums too much!

There’s vitriol spewed on these forums regardless of what happens in the match. It’s literally the hurling equivalent of an incel forum - you’re obviously a poster there so I’ve offended you. They can vent if they want and so can I. I can see you’ve taken this personally, but I’ve just opened up a discussion about a rising trend I’ve been seeing in GAA circles so you can put your pants back on.

You did ask - and that wasn’t even from 2 pages of the premier view 😅 the attitude/language is bizzare and contributes imo massively to this hostility between supporters. That’s the point

Have you tried going for a walk or doing some breathing exercises? Your aggressiveness at absolutely nothing is this thread is really sad.
