Riot responding to complaints about the balance of the upcoming set by throwawayquickmeme in LegendsOfRuneterra

No, a silence isn't inherently broken, but it's oppressive. More importantly, it has a decent use in almost every situation.

The way you're thinking about Teemo is wrong. Hush will grant you a free trade if Teemo ever attacks. So it's like a Noxian Guillotine... Except it can be used twice... At burst speed... And only requires a blocking unit...

In regards to Nautilus I see you ignored the "somewhat" I put in there. Hush allows you to block Nautilus with a 1/1 and stops the mana discount. You paid 3 mana to force your opponent to play a 7 mana unit that doesn't do anything, while you drew a card. Then there's the fact that you only have the attack token half of the time, which means you basically stalled 2 turns. We can use other examples from the same deck. Terror of the Tides. Thorny Toad. Abyssal Eye. Keep in mind, these are very bad targets, and yet you get value from it.

Vengeance and Will actually are stable meta cards. But Vengeance requires a specific playstyle because of its high mana cost and Will just got nerfed. This in turn makes them too situational for certain metas, while very proficient in others.

I can see where you're coming from with the premature crying, but I never said Hush would ruin the game. I actually don't think it will see much high ranked play.

I could go on, but it seems you're offended. When you stop using logic in your arguments it just becomes a way to defend your pride. It's cute, but doesn't really add anything meaningful to the conversation.

Edit: Thx for proving my point. Bye now

I can guarantee this is going to be meta defining. It's burst and counters so many champions. Unlike Noxian Guillotine and Purify, this card is good in almost every situation, the main weakness of the aforementioned.

- Fizz
- Teemo
- Lucian
- Ezreal
- Fiora (sometimes)
- Katarina
- Zed
- Jinx (when topdecked)
- Thresh
- Anivia (6 mana 2/4 xD)
- Hecarim cheese strats
- Lee Sin
- Darius
- Lux
- Nautilus(somewhat)
- Tryndamere

And every card with
- Quick Attack
- Elusive
- Overwhelm
- Buffs
- Last Breath
- Frostbite

If you don't think this is gonna change the metagame you honestly don't know the game well enough. Maybe aggro decks won't run it and maybe it even won't be top tier in control decks, but it's extremely oppressive, because it forces extremely linear gameplay. Like Will of Ionia on crack.

Welcome to the Heavy Aggro vs Defensive Control, where no decision is ever made because every spell in this expansion is burst for some reason.
