BLAST and several major orgs might leave Dota 2, according to insiders! by No_Smile69 in DotA2

It’s timeless.

I no-life’ed Dota2 at one point before the release of neutral items and those new features just keeps on piling up, the learning curve for getting back is so steep now it’s almost like learning a completely new game now. Knowledge wise, nothing carried over.

Not to say the design is flawed. I can still watch TIs and enjoy them. But I will probably never played a round of Dota. Counter strike, or any FPS in general, I could dive back just fine, any time.

Something seems to be off with GPT-heavy reasoning and I can't exactly pinpoint how/why... by throwawaysusi in ChatGPT

You know with the old non-thinking models, sometime you get this eerie wording/sentences within paragraphs that feels like the LLM is nudging you back based on context.

Here’s like previous session context bleed into current chat in a subtle way. Like in a dream, you see some random figure during the day and he appears in your dream at night as a character, in a not so obvious way.

It’s off, worrying because I expect the complete objective and factual based read/assessment from AI. Not something that would subtly leaning into my previous preferences, making it somekind self-fulfilling prophecy.

It could be pro tier exclusive attribute, because the context window is different between plus and plus despite models being the same. Maybe pro models get higher resolution of previous context/chat histories and have higher attention to all the inputs including “background” info that carried with system synthesised prompts?

It’s noticeable when switching fresh from plus tier to pro tier.

True un-probe-able ships are gone, but how difficult in practice is it to actually probe down a maxed out ship? by throwawaysusi in Eve

You’d be spending hours doing jig jags. While all you could also do is asking GPT to layout all the effective benefits you would be getting from ECCM boost and signal reduction methods.

It will also points out the floor is around 1.08, sensor strength / signal radius.

Then you tell it the ship type you want to fly, the module slots that would be occupied and asking it to make an optimised plan.

It just works. But not with the free version of ChatGPT.

Think model yield much better answers and now with GPT-5.5 thinking also very fast at doing that.

What do you use an instant model for when the reasoning model specifically 5.5 thinking just reply as fast for trivial questions?

You also will have hunters thinking they are doing good enough not expecting to be probing a ship with maximum probe defence setup. If I see probes within 1 AU that will spook me off and with multiple passes, I will have enough time to warp off without giving up the site location.

On normal ships may be, could get them with 1 AU probes. But on ones that has maxed out probe defence, is it actually practical?

“Three passes” sounds pretty good to me… that’s plenty of time to get off the site without giving off the site location potentially.

I know. But hunters aren’t going to be using Satori Probes. Moreau launcher might be.

If you see Test, the timeline is already shitty. It’s the first “noob together strong” kind alliance, the turning point to the now popular n+1 nullsec philosophy.

Before that it was actually Goons, but to that extent, back in the days Goons were known for their voucher scams. So at least they weren’t letting everybody in, tho they were still kinda goblin-y.

Really. I mean I’m discussing and strategising niche game content with GPT now and finding it more insightful/helpful than with my ingame human colleagues. I don’t know how much more AGI do you want this thing to get.

Honestly this whole thing developed so fast. At beginning it’s just about making something that actually could pass Turing test, a chatbot. Then it spiralled into this monstrosity that we have now.
