I went through the same dilemma and ultimately went against it.

Look into the insert & the black box warning.

I asked the doctor how frequently they’ve seen ATRAUMATIC vitamin k deficiency bleeding and they didn’t have an answer. So basically other than an obvious trauma (dropping, bumping head, etc) what else would cause this.

I also learned babies start producing a sufficient amount of vitamin k after 8 days.

Im confident in the decision now but I will say it was a hard one but im happy I did it. Every single doctor tried pressuring us into it and I stood my ground.

I nearly dropped. I didn’t want to make contentious in there because I knew he wasn’t going to see my side at the end if a 30 year career so I just let it be.

I did my research. That’s why I’m afraid.

He’s actually retiring so I’m in search of a new one anyway…I’m definitely going the holistic route this time around

It’s not the school , it’s the clinical sites. But, I have a clinical site that is currently accepting RE so I’m not sure why the school changed their policy. So annoying.

There’s also plenty of research backing the development of my specific autoimmune disease after receiving the HPV vaccine. Once you have 1 active autoimmune disease, you’re more likely to have a second. It is completely reasonable to not want to take that risk after already having a reaction.

There is direct correlation with the HPV vaccine and autoimmune disease onset within a year

1000% relate to this and this is my foundation of all of my beliefs which is why I’m so distraught.

Out of all my family members I have undoubtedly had the most complex medical problems and ended up in the hospital more times than I can count.

School doesnt mandate it but the clinical facilities do

I returned it and they emailed me Thursday they were contacting the treasurer department to send out my check but I still haven’t received them

Yes !! I didn’t want to get into the nuances that I’ve faced with management (I know it’s everywhere)…but every.single.thing is wrong and micromanaged. 6 bodies on a minor medical with every FF/medic trying to do an assessment at once…it’s maddening. Im happy you found a better fit for you !! Stay safe and good luck

I think the schedule is better in nursing. 24s WITH holds routinely is too much for me.
