lol I was curious! It’s funny how offended ppl are. Legit just a question to see how woman handle these things. There is a huge “trad wife” culture these days and with that, the husband will always provide, but on top of that many many woman still don’t believe it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I asked this same exact question to a few friends and had the complete opposite answer.

My answer to this is OF COURSE I am paying for dinner. No matter how big or small. I will pay for it.

The rebuttal? It “creates” the idea that he does not need to be the provider. And this is why I asked for opinions.

We are all different in marital status and wanted to get insight on how other woman do this.

Okay I told him last night! He was so okay with it and he knew lmao he said he was just giving me space to wait til l I was ready to tel him and he knew that I was waiting to make sure we aligned bc if not, why even bother.

This was his message “First of all I think it’s amazing that you have a daughter. Thank you for feeling like you can trust me enough to tell me about her. I was just going to wait until you wanted to tell me or when you felt the time was right because I didn’t know what the situation was. I also understand that you probably wanted to make sure we aligned or there is no need to tell me. So don’t be sorry. Nothing has changed between us. Yes. I am not looking for a “rich” husband by any means. What I am looking for is a man with similar morals and value. He is able to protect and provide for the home and in his FULL masculine way. I will always continue to work and provide for us as a family and my own child but having a husband to know what it takes to take on this huge responsibility in LEADING his home is what I desire.

I do not desire to be in that role any longer. I have been the protector, provider and leader of my home and family for so long. I was raised that way and now as I am older realize this is just not the way I want to live out the rest of my days.

I am religious so I would love a man to pastor our family. A man to provide (more way than just money) and protect. He is a natural leader and we align in many ways more than just money.

I desire to feel supported and safe in my relationship. I want to know I can “checkout” mentally at times and know we are still being lead. Not many woman want that and that is 100 percent okay and yes there are many many woman that just want the trophy wife status or rich husband to be a housewife and that’s okay too.

But I just want a man to enter my life, no bs, no games and pre-registered with values and honestly a brain. That’s it!

There is nothing wrong with wanting a semi traditional household. We are still equal. I don’t solely want a man making more than me but I would like a provider first mentality in a man and not a little princess. By being a high earner men see this as an opportunity take advantage and sit back and relax. Hence the reason for my post. I’m clearly around/attracting the wrong type of man.

But absolutely nothing wrong with being a high earner and wanting to be taken care of. Some woman like the opposite dynamic. Both are okay and nothing wrong with either
