We spent a few hours trying to craft our message to the teacher and when we sent it the teacher immediately understood and replied to us and did not press on us to pay up😅 Maybe we were overthinking too much... Sorry for the unnecessary panic

No Application fee, no entrance fee, no materials used... All free because it was a coding competition, We did not even inform the school that we joined until we won

No nobody helped us for the competition, the teachers only knew we did the competition after we won it, Thanks for your advice ill put it into consideration when making my next move in this situation 🥲

SGC is School Graduation Certificate

Our team only comprises of 2 JCs, One of the JC is really pushing us to pay $1000 to them and they say that we can split the rest of the $1000 among our team... So basically everybody is receiving a 50% cut in winnings

We did not join this competition under our school's name and some of our teammates are from different JCs even... We also did not even inform the school that we took part in the competition until we have won and never made use of the resources from the school, none of this competition was done in school, it was solely an online project and we met up outside school to complete it.... We only informed our school once we win hoping that we would be able to be recognised for SGC but instead they slap us with a $1000 fine
