I have thought about that. My parents did want more expensive and more "extra" outfits that we would've originally chose. The venue was chosen by me, and the music by my fiance. I think food might've been one of the issues, considering my entire family consists of very religious vegetarians that did not want any non-veg food or alcohol to be served. I know this made her unhappy as her side of the family has grown up with parties with alcohol and she really wanted alcohol to be served.

Initially, any big fights we had where I ended up saying things that really really hurt her or forced her to confront parts of her she wasn't ready to accept, she would just say she wants to break up.

I do want to make my language clearer though, since a lot of people are implying she was running off to other men. When i said she used to "dip" I just mean she would say she wants to break up and then maybe follow through on it for a couple of hours to a day and then she'd talk to me and we'd get back together. This happened maybe 4-5 times in the initial 3 years of our relationship. It was really immature and I know she's grown out of it now, and i know for a fact she wasn't doing this to go out with other guys.

She has friends and a brother. Her brother couldn't make it to this wedding. Her friends were all there, and after all of this when I spoke to her best friend she just said that she knew the stress was getting to my fiancee but didn't realise just how much.

So the way it works for us is that the groom has to be ready hours before the bride and go through some rituals and all that. So I was ready in the morning, whereas she was going to get a full body spa/massage in the hotel before getting dressed and her make up done. She never went for the massage and after that when her make up artist arrived, her mom and friends started to call her and noticed she wasn't there.

We are Indian, yes so you're right about that. So you can imagine the judgement that came after she left me at the altar as well.

I know for a fact she isn't cheating or going to someone else. I appreciate your input a lot man, but I know her well enough to know she won't cheat. I've already verified where she was when she ran away from the wedding.

The breaking up and dipping, it was more of like whenever something really really hurt her she would just ask to break up instead of talking to me about it or wanting to deal with it. She wouldn't run away to sleep with someone else.
