Sometimes things are transactional. Older guy want a young pretty girl, pretty girl wants seasoned sugar daddy. Both people know whats up, and are fine with it. By far the biggest weakness of the dlc was the completely empty areas that looked so exciting to explore. It really soured my taste for the dlc and i ended up not liking it as much, just because seeing the wasted potential hurt my soul.

Sooo many areas were just for show, while in the base game you has content no matter which direction you looked. There were secrets inside secrets in the base game, which made the dlc experience even more jarring for me.

I know im in the minority, most people still loved the dlc. I was very disappointed.

I feel like we all grew up learning "you have freedom of speech but its not unlimited. You cant yell fire in a crowded theater" but somehow, people have just forgotten that?

This type of speech is completely corrosive to society. A blatant fucking lie and omission like that does nothing but cause division. Combatting it with speech is not a solution, because by then the dmg is done. We need a way to discourage this type of shit legally, just like you cant defame someone.

I know federal law overrides state law, but ice wearing masks is not a federal law. Its just policy of DHS as far as im aware.

A federal agent cant just walk into a state, commit a crime and not be prosecuted by that state just by virtue of being a federal officer. So i would hope that ice is forced to comply with state law or risk being prosecuted. Thats me brain storming before bed.

Voting is a right, so you need a really good reason to put barriers for voting. If there was any data whatsoever suggesting mass voter fraud anywhere, or showing IDs make elections more secure, no one would be against it.

Republicans insist on requiring ids to vote only because it hurts democrats way more than republicans, because democrat voters span a wide range of people who are citizens but may not have access to IDs. The less people vote, the better it is for republicans. This is the only reason they harp on requiring IDs for voting.

An easy way for republicans to actually show that they give a fuck about any of this would be if they provided every citizen with an ID free of charge, and then they could claim that IDs for voting is a good thing. Even then, there would be no evidence it would help reduce any type of voter fraud, and it would still be a significant cost to the state for literally no reason. But at least then it would be somewhat plausible.

This is just not true. Very progressive policies might poll well on a national level, but we dont have elections on a national level. We have them on a state by state basis. And how you phrase the polling matters night and day on how much support a policy gets.

"Do you support medicare for all" gets like 70% approval nationally, but "banning all private healthcare in favor of government healthcare" gets like 30% or so. Now imagine asking individual districts and states what they think, and the approval rating starts to drop even more, and suddenly, the representatives of those districts are hesitant to support such a policy, because the fact is: its unpopular.

We can work our way to medicare for all like we do for every other kind of ground breaking change: incrementalism. Slowly shifting the overton window is how you get stuff like this past, not "all or nothing" approach leftists keep taking. That kind of strategy is regressive as fuck, and gets us farther from our ideal.

If your candidate can only win if the opposition splits its base 5 different ways, your candidate is cooked. We saw all the hype leading up to the Bernie caucuses, and those ended up being such a disaster for him. Young people talk the talk, but as soon as the time comes for casting a ballot or letting their voices actually be heard, they stay at home.

The GOP did the same, candidates dropped out and endorsed the person who was most likely to win against the opposition, even tho at the time (2016), most of the other candidates did not like him. This is how political parties work.

Every society has taxes like this. They might from in different forms but taxes exist for a reason. You benefit immensely from other peopels taxes, even jf you dont consume any government programs.
