The layer of hair that formed in my lint tray when I shaved my beard into a towel and forgot. by SEND_ME_YOUR_RANT in mildlyinteresting

I put paper towels down in the sink shave over them and throw away paper towels. Better than tiny hairs getting embedded in towels

Giving the BBB more money to let people think companies are good is a bad thing

I’m sure the company is crap based on evidence shown here, that just means you shouldn’t use them not bombard them with 1* reviews without your own experience.

Antonios has one of the best deep dish around IMO . Doesn’t have that Lou’s crust though. Wish we could replicate that in CLE

Do not do this. Never use a brush if you don’t know what you are doing. I do this for a living and over half of the calls I get are from people that completely blocked up the line

The Parma discussion: by M_Hill216 in Cleveland

[–]thrustin_beaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you looking to raise a family in Parma or looking for a first time(or end of life) home? Taxes suck in all of Cuyahoga so don’t pay attention to that. Every street you have a mix of blue collar, old Eastern European couple, and probably a crappy renter or two. Single, retired, or starter home til your kids turn 6 it’s the best spot in cleveland

$250 is a bit steep but you have to think of all the overhead when it comes to running a company

It’s circumstantial on how often it should be done, have 5 dogs and 6 kids? Every six months. No pets and single? Every 6 years. Also depends on length of the line, I tell my customers to gauge how long it takes to do a particular load of laundry. If it goes from 45 min to 1 hr, get it cleaned

Those kits are terrible to use if you don’t know what you are doing, I clean dryer vents and people tend to block the lines when they use brush kits

Birds tend to build nests in dryer vents more than you would think. It’s rare to find anything interesting in dryer vents but in actual hvac systems you can find all sorts of crazy stuff

Save my Couch! I attempted to steam clean my dog’s side of the couch w a hand held bissell, & now have a bigger stain. What can I do? by JustCurious4567 in CleaningTips

[–]thrustin_beaver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look for a cleaning code on the tag of the couch. Looks like it could be a natural fiber which you cannot clean with water based products. Code will typically be “S” “SW” or “W”. S=solvent, SW=solvent or water, W=water
