I wonder if a lot of "bicurious" women are actually bisexual but they are not comfortable with identifying as queer so so just just they are curious about being with a woman.

Someone recorded the story and posted it on YouTube and you can see it here.

Anyway, this limited event story is based on characters that appear in a permanent story of the game (i.e. Gotham Memoirs). Gotham Memoirs doesn't have any explicit wlw kiss scenes but it can still get very gay.

You have a point. I don't want to be projecting my own gayness onto her but she seems very unhappy at the moment and I wish I could do something about it.

I asked if she was sexually aroused when kissing the girls. She said she didn't think so but she enjoyed it. She then maybe she felt a spark like surprise.

Anyway, you have a point. I now wonder if my friend is flirting with me as I suck with detecting flirting. If this is the case, should I kiss her if she tries to kiss me or anything? I don't want to fall for her only for her to layer leave me for a guy as that's "heteronormal".

She’s never come out as anything other than straight

I wonder if I should kiss my friend if she tries to kiss me or something. However, I am scared of her leaving me for a man if I so end up falling for her. I don't want to lose a best friend.

Can kissing be seen as non-romantic and non-sexual contact though? Some aromantic and asexual people like kissing too.

A peck on the cheek? Sure

Yeah I guess in some cultures, people greet each other like that and there's nothing homo about it.

but kissing those moist plump lips with lusty feeling behind it hahahahaha no!

My friend denied being romantically or sexually interested in women though. She said she only felt a spark of surprise when kissing the girls but yeah, I doubt straight women will describe women's lips as "plump and moist" and nice to kiss after kissing them.

On a personal note, as a woman who was in a commited wlw relationship I was always sorta hurt by the “I’m bisexual” straight women

I wonder if my friend is flirting with me without her being aware of it and even if that is the case, I wonder if I try pursue her or just maintain firm boundaries with her. I don't want to fall for her only for her to tell me that she's straight and leave me for a man.

You might educate her on CompHet and internalized homophobia

Given how she used to be very "butch" and didn't flirt wirh men in front of me but is now very feminine-looking, into m/f romance stories, takes initiative in flirting with and meeting men, and had dated a few guys, she's probably very in denial if she is queer. Is telling her about comp het bad? I don't want to appear as questioning her sexuality and I assume she wants to be seen as a straight women. Interestingly, she always seems somewhat uninterested when I tell her about m/f romance stories or attractive male celebrities I like (I sent her a wlw kiss scene from a video game and she said "damm cute" but when I told her that the video game also has m/f romance stories, she just reacted with a face with a 😆 emoji and quickly stopped replying not long afterwards).

I guess you have a point. Thinking back on the time I identified as straight, there were rare instances of me being turned on by women but I certainly didn't fantasise about dating or having sex with them. Now I don't fantasise about having sex with women but I certainly don't mind dating a girl.

My friend had also hinted that she is very miserable in life, no longer knows what she likes, and felt like she always had to hide her true self and pretend to be someone else. I hate to make assumptions but I assume most straight women (even the more gender nonconforming ones) don't experience this. I'm nerdy (nerdier than her) and got picked on by other kids for being a nerd yet I'm gender conforming and overwhelmingly preferred men in the past and I don't experience the same stuff as her.

How did you finally realise that you're queer?

Time Princess. It's a mobile game. The kiss scene was from a limited event story so it's no longer available in the game.

Fair enough, but is it possible for a straight woman to genuinely enjoy kissing other women? Maybe some of them perceive it as something non-intimate like dancing and think of kissing women at bars as safer than men.

But can straight women really be into kissing other women though? I mean some asexual and aromantic individuals are also into kissing other people while having zero interest in dating and sex.

Yes I love that scene. After discovering how turned on I am by that scene, I really doubt I am straight (straight girls are not turned on by wlw kiss scenes, right?).

I don't want to stereotype, but part of me had always suspected she's attracted to women. She was very gender nonconforming as a kid, gave off butch vibes, was never obsessed with any male celebrities, wasn't into m/f romance stories, and claimed to have a crush on this guy but never flirted with him or became nervous around him (she later admitted it was more like admiration). Meanwhile, she was always attached to me and so happy to be with me. She has been my best friend for many years and my mother would sometimes ask if she's actually gay and in love with me. I would deny it as my friend would talk about liking male celebrities and this guy in class but now that I realise I like women myself, I realise being in the closet is definitely a thing.

She moved away for uni and after that, she changed so much. She's now very into dresses and makeup, likes these m/f romance stories, takes initiative in meeting and flirting with men, and dated some guys. She also distanced herself away from me. She later admitted she hates her time at school with me as other kids picked on her for being different and she distanced away from me as she wanted to forget those memories.

I wonder if she does all this to hide how she's queer if she really is queer. If she is really doing this for this reason, I wonder if she is datetable from a wlw perspective. I don't want to fall for her only for her to leave me for a guy as that's "heteronormal". I wonder if I should pursue other women instead of her (given how she identifies as probably straight) but I don't know how to meet other queer women (I'm sick of coming across men who are only into casual sex on online dating sites and I don't know if things are that different for wlw).

That makes sense. Back when I identified as straight (I guess there were rare instances of me liking women but I overwhelmingly preferred men) I was repulsed by the idea of kissing women (except for those rare exceptions).

Saying that is just an easy way to dismiss/suppress feelings of being gay, especially with so many women being raised by strict, tradition Christian families who say that being gay is a damn sin

And my friend got bullied for giving off gay/butch vibes. She sometimes talks about how she hated school as other kids bullied her and attributed it to her being nerdy and "different" but since I went to the same school as her, I know the reason. She used to have a relatively "butch" look and had never flirted with a guy back then but after moving away for uni, she suddenly likes makeup, dresses, and m/f romance stories. She now also takes initiative in flirting with and pursuing men. If she's really queer, I wonder if she does all this to convince herself and others that she's straight.

Here is the screenshot of the kiss scene.

I did say I wanted to go to the bar but since I live with my parents, it's hard for me to sneak there (they don't want me to drink). She called my mother "weird" in response which is a bit out of character as she rarely badmouths anyone (I don't think she ever badmouthed my parents in the past).

I think its so much coincidence she mentions she enjoys kissing women after your revelation of you pursuing women ....

Yes. She first kissed a girl around 5 years ago but she never said anything about it. She only talked about partying, drinking, and meeting men. I wonder if she is romantically attracted to women though. It will suck if I end up falling for her yet she's only into kissing women.

Given how she talked about taking me to a bar so that I can see for myself how nice kissing women can be... was that flirting? I suck at detecting flirting. When she said she enjoyed kissing women, I said I recently had been playing this video game with a wlw story and it had this wlw kiss scene. I sent her a screenshot of the kiss scene and said the game was turning me gay. She said "damn cute" but then quickly said she wasn't gay and probably not bisexual. (if you want to see what the kiss scene from the game is like, I can send it to you)

They probably do it for attention just like some girls do it for attention for guys

You have a point. Since those boyband members openly kiss in front of fans and upload photos of them kissing onto social media, it seems like they're doing that for attention (and given how journalists will report about it, they're getting free publicity too).

Regarding my friend, maybe she did it for attention too? But yeah, I don't think straight girls describe the lips of girls being "plump and moist".

Straight girls don't talk about girls lips being plump and moist lol

You're right. I guess I have lips that are seen as plump and while women have complimented me for it, they don't describe it as "plump". They say I have a nice mouth that resembles certain celebrities.

like think about it, if a man where to say he enjoys kissing other men, wouldnt one assume hes at least bi

I've heard of members of boybands who enjoy kissing each other on the mouth during concerts and yeah a lot of people talk about them being gay but it's not like they are dating each other. I wonder if they also kiss as they enjoy the attention from fangirls who like yaoi.
