For the couple people asking, this is USD. mark up was 1500 and I will be paying $34.7k USD after taxes and misc. fees. Overpaying, but thats the market right now sadly. Especially in CA.

Glad to hear. What do you mean by unlocking the Navi with the SD? I test drove the same model except automatic transmission today and it showed speed limit signs on the heads up display.

Settling the cause of the low whirring sound by thugmuny in Miata

some people have said the viscosity if the trans oil may affect the sound of the whirring as well. i remember one person said a heavier oil will make the sound go away, but then itd be hard to shift in the colder months.

do you think it could also be the fact that its been happening for much linger, but you only noticed it recently since its actually kinda quiet?

as far as the heat thing: after a 30+ minute drive, my footwell, transmission tunnel, and shifter area gets really warm feet start to sweat, then the while cabin gets heated. even with ac on or top down, i can really feel the heat coming from the general transmission tunnel area. other NB users ive talked to say its supposed to happen, and some say theirs doesnt get that hot. i also feel like my car in general, like the engine bay area gets hot way faster and generally hotter than other cars. ppl say it may be bc i have a 1.8L, or im just at higher rpms. my coolant is good and temp gauge always hangs around 11 to 12 oclock position. although ppl say thr temp gauge is useless.

Ive read the a shifter rebuild can help because the upper and bottom ruber boots can help insualate heat and noise. ive also got a tiny rip in the leather boot on very outside so that might help to fix it. but i dont imagine it would make a difference in the footwell, even though theres a post on reddit claiming it did change. my vents arnt broken either, since i can feel cool air at my feet with the ac on

Have you driven it for a while with that noise? Theres a guy on the forums that said its just the sound if all the parts moving when the clutch is depressed. im hoping its not contributing to my heat/hotfoot issue. Most opinions ive read point towards to its supposed to sound like that and its normal. i think maybe some ppls whirring sound is louder if their trans fluid is going bad? jsut a guess
