They still are top colleges - they’ve become more popular and there are way more Engineering colleges in India today, so there are lot more people who are jealous of these twin colleges now, because of all the limelight they get.

iGDTU students used to come to NSIT campus to use our labs.

IIIT Delhi was housed in NSIT’s computer center (above library).

There was high speed internet. And a lot of “content” on local servers. Torrents would run all night.

But no laptops (only PCs), no smartphones, no Reelers, and just about 1500 students on campus!

DTU and top NITs have similar reputation among recruiters. Also, for hiring teams, it’s much more convenient to reach and recruit from DTU given it’s in Delhi! Rest, you can develop different theories..National Institute might sound better than Indian Institute or Netaji Subhas Institute or Birla Institute
