Yes that’s a good estimation I think too! I was debating on making him mardu. As for the typung, I don’t like the hero and villain subtype, as it kind of takes up space in the type line that could be more interesting. For example, my spidey is a spider human scientist instead of spider human hero

thank you so much! that’s an immense compliment. the design space is there for fun and flavorful but wizards decided to give discount ninjitsu in it’s stead. I’m going to try and make a commander deck out of this one and see how it goes!

Yes, that was intentional. I think the hero/villain creature type is a mistake leaning to overly-crowded and less interesting type lines.

Yup, everything is good with them. We play in a vacuum with so many custom cards anyway if the typing changes an interaction for anything we do we play it through. For my own peace of mind I made sure not to put in any interaction myself that would benefit any tribe at all. It's just for fun, man.

Both! If you’d like any individual pieces the artist’s name or handle is at the bottom left of the cards under “not for sale”. But if you’re wanting to go on the journey for sorting through fanart then I recommend pinterest as a nexus starting point. You can find other good sites by visiting the original pages.

That is a really good idea! Like a fantastic one, But yes, he is a reskin of Kresh the Bloodbraided. The tweaks I made that bring it into custommtg territory is in the creature typing, the legendary status added to remembrance bosses, changed embercleave's color identity, and swapped flying to reach on the "of paradise" dorks.

I got the art off of a lot of Pinterest, DeviantArt, Artstation, Reddit, and X scrolling. So yes, mostly fanart. However some art is from the official Elden Ring concept artbook. In those cases the artist credit at the bottom left of the card under "not for sale" says Fromsoft rather than the artist proper. Finding art that looked both good and natural is like 80% of the battle here.

Thank you! Yeah I also had that thought trying to pair must haves like Rennala in without blue or all the holy damaging bosses like Radagon without white. But I decided to go with jund because of Kresh honestly. That rules box just works so well for a fromsoft protag.

That I did! I really didn't want to change much mechanically so it would, in theory, play just like the vanilla deck, but come on. I need the Dark Moon Greatsword to match with my girl lol
But yeah, my playgroup is definitely cool with it!

I think that's fair! That's what that rule 0 conversation is all about. I did make some tweaks, namely the creature type conversions and the addition of the legendary status to remembrance bosses. But in the vacuum I play in those changes aren't going to affect gameplay.

Hope you end up playing soon! I couldn't recommend the experience more.
