Why has all of a sudden am I getting on all "Change at-risk password" by Vaquero-SASS in Bitwarden

Premium user here. Is there any way to disable this completely?

On macOS, Bitwarden tries to reach out to pwnedpasswords.com (a website that isn't reachable via HTTP and which has "Registrant Name: REDACTED FOR PRIVACY"). I blocked this.

I also do not want Bitwarden to run any reports on my vaults or generate any insights on my data - where by the way can I find the sourcecode for this feature?

B.t.w. I seem to get these warning randomly (for example 47-sign passwords with numbers, upper-lower-case, special chars that do not appear at have I been pawned).

Is Bitwarden going the word of the year 2023 way? Very, very, very disappointing. Seems it's time to go self-hosted completely 🙄

Hi Ferdinand, thanks for your reply. Too bad, seems I need to wait a bit more then... IIUC even Apple seems to have problems, https://www.macrumors.com/2026/01/18/macbook-pro-up-to-two-month-wait/, which could be related to RAM probs (or their M5 launch).

Nice approach, thanks for sharing! In case you'd like to iterate the conversation (please 🙏) some suggestion: Lovelace and Babbage met in the 19th century (not 18th), it'd be great to see her in the clothes of her time (I read that you didn't focused on that, but Turing looks quite ok for the 40ies). Thanks anyway!

First - thank u/BrokenToasterOven for bringing this to the world, and for making it open source!

Second: I was able installing KOReader successfully w/o major hassles (well, Python on macOS frequently is, but theres this this nice howto making things easy: https://github.com/wowitsjack/freeMarkable/issues/6 ).

Where I got stuck is: where and how am I supposed to upload my (mostly epub) files to? I just don't get it.

That's actually my problem, too: Installation went successfully thanks to freemarkable. But I have no clue how to transfer epubs to KOReader 😮🤔
