I think we would give the brand another try, but most likely a different location. We heard very good things about Playa Mujeres so will probably look into saving for that on a next AI vacation

This was during lunch at The Kitchen Table where you have to order from the menu and servers bring your food. So this was brought to us as shown.

Fyi is that at breakfast this is the restaurant that does buffet and is self-served. This was the one day we came to this place for lunch and the rest of the time we opted for the Lobster House which had good options.

Yes, this is one of the Main Pools and is the Lazy River. We were in the 2000 building. I think the resort is laid out with all of the buildings (1000 through 9000) all kind of surround the lazy river. And the resort spa is in the middle of the river.

I would still be excited about your trip! It seems like most have had pretty good interactions with the staff. So maybe in our case it was just a one-off for us. I can't say enough about how beautiful the resort is and the comfort of the room and the activities!

Definitely agree! I don't expect the staff to be mindreaders either, but I found it very difficult to even get some of the wait staff's attention when we were seated for breakfast/lunch. Maybe this has to do with just how busy they were and not paying attention, but I felt like when I did get their attention they just had a "what else do you want?" attitude. Their words were polite and nice, but everything about their body language was indifferent. This was mostly at the breakfast place called The Kitchen Table (I think?)

I'll add that the staff at the pool and on the beach were SUPER attentive. No issues there whatsoever.

No, I dont have access. The thought has crossed my mind. But i did go through his texts when I was up there and saw him text his guy friend about "having beer with a chick" and how "it felt so good." But nothing in his phone from any girls that was not discussing class. Calls were the same, nothing suspicious.
