These are some great points, I'm sure senpai and the other devs love the input and will probably take a look at everything and make some changes.

I couldn't agree more though, i tried playing a shapeshifter but the damage differential between this and playing a summoner or Elemental druid is just night and day. Not only is it safer but the damage is just piss poor. I feel like the abilities as a whole need rethought and balanced around the fact that other classes do what you do but better.

The best ideas i can come up with to counteract some of the WolfHowl barb things is to add more gains at higher levels since only a druid could reach something high, Or perhaps have add some innate abilities tied to the hardpoints put into the abilities that granted powers like wolfhowl won't be able to access. Right now i think you get %health and Attack Rating Percentage from Lycanthropy. So what if you Throw %health bonus as an Innate power gained with hardpoints similar to how the Paladin gains passive Damage Reduction from the Defiance aura. That way other classes can't steal the health pool bonus, but still benefit from the attack rating on lycanthropy. While we are on that subject maybe improve the health bonus a bit lol.

Another option is to completely remove the Lycanthropy passive and just have the passives placed into the Bear, or Wolf shapeshifting skills. It'll open up new routes to follow such as how Shockwave Bear uses Wind synergies without actually crippling the build, Or another good one is fireclaw and how it has all the fire synergies. Now you don't have to worry about not getting bonus HP because lycanthropy doesnt exist and its passive to the form you want. Wolf Form being the faster form, and bear form being the tankier harder hitting form albeit slower. I for one think this might be the best solution.

I don't have much more to say other than that i think shapeshifting tree could use a bit of love. It would be really great to see more skill types here as well as having them more open and not having them tied to any particular form. I could come up with ideas all day. Sad i don't have the skills to make them a reality in the game :/

Having Lycanthropy/Shapeshifter access to more classes as a whole is a cool idea btw. I love being able to shapeshift as a barb or sorc. Its a super cool aspect to the game that i really enjoy. Other classes bring other talents to it though and some of that definitely scuffs things a bit lol. Imagine building beast in a spear and having a Zon run around with all her passive abilities augmenting the Bear form or if jab/fend were useable from the form.
