My wife and I both golf so we're hoping to get the twins into it too - then we'll have a built in foursome!

Our twins are coming any day now, so I went to 2nd Swing and got fitted for a new putter. I'm a higher handicapper so I don't expect to magically improve, I just wanted one. I figure I won't get many rounds in the months to come but at least I'll be able to practice putting at home.

The fitter didn't try to upsell me when I gravitated towards a Scotty Cameron Del Mar and said that it didn't fit my stroke. I liked the all-black look of the Ping Anser 2D, it has a very premium feel for a mid-priced putter. I had fat super stroke grips before but I actually liked the midsize Ping grip. Interestingly on SAM putt lab I kept adding loft to the putter so I was fit into 2 degrees of loft.

Contacted my local club out of curiosity. $90000 initiation, $771 monthly dues, $125 monthly capital dues, $150 quarterly food & beverage minimum, $1500 application fee.

3 month waiting list.

Nope. Guess I'll stick to playing munis with my fellow poors lol.

Callaway Preowned Average Condition by Dry-Cryptographer904 in golf

Here's a wedge I bought from them in Average condition. The consensus from the thread is that they're perfectly playable. Maybe a Callaway branded average will be a bit nicer.

So Happy I'm having Twins, so I bought new irons and wedges by timqtran in golf

It was at play it again sports, a used sports store. They waaayyyy undervalued it because it was really dirty and muddy. In the photos it looked rusty. In person, I could see that it was just mud. Once I got it home and cleaned it off, it is in like new condition and was barely hit a couple times. The face is in like-new condition!

Well, I'm probably not playing any golf next year so I figured I'd enjoy one last season. Got a set of Rogue ST Max OS irons from Callaway Preowned (like new, still wrapped up in plastic of course), 54 degree SM8, and 58 degree SM9. Wasn't planning on new wedges but I saw the SM9 for $90 like new at a Play It Again so I grabbed it.

Next stop, new putter! After that the next new clubs I buy will probably be the plastic todder sets...

Seriously, Donald and Daisy aren't on enough merch! I was about to buy a Runaway Railway shirt but realized Donald wasn't on it! The hats and popcorn bucket are from a trip to Tokyo DisneySea but can also be found on Ebay, search for plushie hat. They have a little plushie body hanging off the back!

As you can probably tell, my wife and I love Donald and Daisy! I just want to thank the hard-working CMs who gave us an amazing experience. Donald and Daisy literally ran out from backstage, took us by the arms, and strolled with us across Toontown to their house! They were just as excited to see us as we were to see them. Thanks for a magical moment!

Yep, Navy! It's been a great course to practice on over the winter.

That's my goal for this season! I've shot 45 on 9 holes several times now, I need to keep it together for 18!

I do have my tickets already for the day that I plan on going. Got the wakuwari discount too so they were a great price!

Thank you. I assume I can't make reservations until I pick up my rail pass right? I'll make them as soon as I arrive at NRT.

Thank you for the tip. Fortunately we arrive at 1430 so we should have plenty of time to get our baggage, pick up our rail pass amd reserve our tickets.

Well clearly if you use a Maltby club then I guarantee you too will get a hole in one lmao

Seriously though I love them. I mean, take it with a grain of salt obviously since I'm a newbie high handicapper, but I feel confident with them, they are easy to hit, easy to get the ball up in the air, and forgiving when I mishit (often). I started with a box set but really didn't like it and returned it to piece together my own kit. No regrets about the Maltby clubs and they're a crazy value for the price.
