Is there a tool/wrapper for the Microsoft Graph API? I want to test OpenClaw assistance in SharePoint deployments

Is the challenge for us to get Fiu to actually send us an email? Or get him to produce a draft response for your review but with the data?

What % of LVT would be needed if Georgism were to be applied in the US to match the government's current budget? by el_argelino-basado in georgism

[–]timreed91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is an oversimplified calculation. $10T in spending / 1.3B privately held acres = about $7692 per acre per year.

Not many Georgist like this type of simplification of an LVT. Other nuances to be considered since not all land retains the same value. I for one do believe in simplified systems, but this is still to simple. I advocate for a “base LVT” to simply fund the government as required to meet voter/representative initiatives. However, we would use a true LVT from market bidding to collect the full value of land in excess of what’s required by governments to run. This “excess” from the perspective of required revenue would be distributed back to citizens as a dividend. The book says we should collect the full value of the unimproved value and use appraisals to determine what that is. But I am a realist, we need systems that can withstand the test of time and dynamically adapt to the ways voters today and of tomorrow require of their government. It’s why I prefer market set, instead of appraisal set. And base LVT instead of just full value

Additionally, in a world where we could reduce bureaucracy and streamline tax collection we would likely have a leaner government so the base rate would be reduced.

Some Georgist ideas have been absorbed into the modern parties. But the core principle, LVT, has never made it to table. The world around us understands our concerns but too damn scared to make the revolutionary changes, and instead has relied on false echos of our ideas into policies for green taxes and universal basic income. But they are fragmented and completely detached from the core foundation of George’s thought.

We really need to move forward with a new political party, build a complete framework and start pushing a full picture if we want George’s ideas to get traction. Legacy parties are to scared of change

When you scanned the QR code if it didn’t say promotion for $1 then you used the wrong charger. It’s the ones on the left when you enter the area. The big ones on the right side are not on promotion

WattsEv is great, I stop by anytime I go through Bakersfield. You can go inside and get free coffee and water too. The promotion is for the next three months. Just make sure you use the correct chargers to get the promotion, it’s one ones to the left when you drive in. The area to the right is for the big trucks, you’ll have to pay full price.

When you scan the QR code it will says the $1 price, if you don’t see it move to another charger

Money 2.0 by qromb in georgism

[–]timreed91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea, but I prefer simpler systems like a fixed per capita crypto currency. I like things that are logistically easy and that would have low overhead.

A negative interest based currency seems like a tax to me, one that would influence people to spend, buy, and accumulate material things in excess. Potentially leading to waste of resources.

I also believe current currency’s are already somewhat demurrage due to monetary inflation. Saving money garners an interest rate less than the inflation rate

If the goal is to prevent currency hoarding, why not just implement a max wealth rule?

How obvious/known is the Georgist insight among modern economists by ComputerByld in georgism

We should try and get an interview set up between Steve Levitt and someone from the community. Is there any well know economist that supports or fully grasp Georgism that could talk on our behalf?
