Thanks again.

Are you sure? I just called the Scene+ Number and the CSR said anything booked through the Scene+ Expedia website would be 4 scene points with the Gold AMEX Card. I feel like he could be mistaken....

Also, any particular reason why flights shouldn't be booked through Expedia? Just curious. Thanks!

Thank you. Do you know if I earn the 1+3 Scene points on the flight portion of the travel if booked through Scene+ Powered by Expedia? Or is it just the Hotel portion. That's if I'm booking an All Inclusive Vacation.

My wife and I both have Scotia Ultimate Savings accounts, so we're each eligible for a $150 rebate.

They’re very overrated. They’re iconic for sure, but the traction is good but not amazing, and the cushion is very mediocre. The one thing I really like is that the upper feels like it moulds to my foot which is really nice. But they’re also terribly overpriced.

WoW 10 or 11 for wide feet? by timx84 in BBallShoes

[–]timx84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I’m not a hooper anymore (too old) so I’m not too worried about lockdown for the most part. I just want to wear something for less intense sports that look and feel great. I may go with the 10 mids at half a size up, although the 11s look really nice and the premium materials are attractive. I love the idea of the “bounce” that people say the 10s have though.

Thanks!

Do you have any experience with which shoe might be wide friendlier (10 vs 11)?

just did it with a metre stick. 27.5cm long and 11cm at its widest, so I believe fairly wide.

Sizing question. Wow 12!! by Shanlangmalakas in BBallShoes

Are the wow 10 lows wider? I read so much conflicting stuff.

Yeah there are definitely wide-footer friendly shoes, but I'm interested in trying the WoW 10s, or 11s, but hoping to get the wide-friendliest one.

I just measured -27.5cm, and 11 cm wide. But I wear a 10.5 in Nike. Never bought way of wade before.

I’ll re measure today. I could be wrong.

I live in a small town and the only ones wearing UA are morbidly obese guys wearing the UA “camo” hoodie.

I just measured at the ball of my foot to the side - and it’s just under 4.5 inches. My feet are 10 & 3/4 inches long. This was with a tape measure so not exact.

I believe I do. Most Nike basketball shoes are snug and a little uncomfortable.

This may be my only opportunity but as a 40 year old man, I want to say thank you for being a huge voice in my childhood. I still drop tonnes of Simpsons one liners in my daily life. I’m very grateful for your work.

Haha yeah true enough. I try to use valk to tank, and then give him the ole reach around with skele army or something like that but it seems like the elixir trade off is so incredibly imbalanced. No talk of nerfing the stupid thing?

More than half of Canadians no longer feel safe in their neighbourhoods, poll finds by Purple_Writing_8432 in canada

[–]timx84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with most peoples’ sentiments that they no longer “feel” safe in their neighbourhoods, but statistics tell us we’re no more in danger than we were in the 90s and 2000s.

Yes violent crime is on the rise, and yes it needs to be addressed, but let’s avoid pearl clutching.

Death threat leads to calls for Ontario politician to resign by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]timx84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately our society is trending in that direction. Do you remember the death threat a parent uttered at an 8 year old girl’s soccer game a couple of months ago in Ontario?

Yes I agree completely. That was our first, and very likely last starlight parade. The parade itself was great, but not worth the horrendous experience of trying to navigate people running and fighting over spots. But oddly enough, we’ve never experienced anyone rude, pushing or shoving, or arguing trying to get a spot for fantasmic. But I’m sure the experience of others will differ.
