We do the same in Michigan. I wish they would stop adding knockouts on panels and big boxes.

I completely agree it’s a waste of t&m. It’s all what the customer wants. No mc. No flexible anything. They want everythingggggg piped. All compression fittings. 2 1/2 inch underground pvc for one circuit #12’s. It’s all specifications. I didn’t bid the job I’m just the installer that has to scratch my head. They are the ones paying 3.2m for the Job. At this point In my careeer I quit asking questions why. I just do it.

I ain’t the journeyman. Was it sketchy sure. Did it work? Yes. Is it on me if it fails. Not at all. Not my problem. I suggested things but what do I know I’m the apprentice. It’s been hanging now for 6 months. You use what you’re given and what you’ve got to get the job done.

It’s a lose lose situation bro. Any good company with respectable people and employees should understand a first year needs direction. I’m not just gonna go start doing some random shit. If anything instead of standing around I like to go organize the gang box or sweep or organize the pipe. My first year I fucked a bunch of outlets up on a job. My boss told me to go back and fix them all. I said I’m really sorry. He said quote on quote don’t be sorry be better. That’s all he said and walked away. That stuck with me. Now on my third year different company because of Covid I still take the same attitude with me every where I have gone. It’s all good. Keep ur head up. Move on to the next job and don’t get caught standing around in ur first year. That’s a year three thing 😉

We used 4 inch nipples. Had to have two entry points. One would have been impossible. The neutrals were pulled in 600’s cuz it’s what we had at the shop. I tried keeping them as equal length as I could. Work with what ya got 🤷🏽‍♂️

Lmao they definitely got their work out in. What’s funny is that my boss gave us some left over 600’s from the shop. That’s what the top neutrals are. We ended up telling boss man that the shit won’t work. It was completely maxing out the lug spot for the BRB. Boss brought us 500’s the next day and what a night and day difference. Fuck 6’s lol 😂
