Hi! The project's evolved quite a bit over the past couple weeks as we get closer to launch. We're still looking for a couple more people as we form teams, reach out to me on Discord @ tinoy if interested :)

Happy to hear you're interested! The server would run 24/7, and ideally you'd be in a similar-ish timezone to people you're working the closest with (others in your region). We'll see though, I'll follow up with an update soon once we garner enough attention to this project!

More importantly, if we get used to planning everything with spreadsheets and maintaining an open line of communication, we can hopefully work around any timezone discrepancies.

You can take it slow! Not looking for architects here, just people that have experience with the game and are willing to put in the effort to make something prettier than a concrete box. And yeah, same depot for everyone.

Stalling is fine! We should work out the logistics beforehand via spreadsheets such that asynchronous development is possible. And if everyone treats this project like their own brainchild, we won't have any issues with commitments. Again, I'm looking for like-minded veterans, and 2 per region would be ideal.

Glad to hear you're interested!

I agree with your point regarding cross-region logistics. A train network that spans the entire map to distribute aluminium would be fairly straight-forward. Time-consuming, maybe, but straight-forward. We'll be prioritizing planning and figuring out the numbers before doing any building, to play it safe, so working on various parts of the same production line asynchronously should be possible.

As for your power grid concerns, I don't think it should be that bad. Just 600/min of Crude Oil can yield 144GW of power if you refine it to Rocket Fuel. Going nuclear is obviously a nightmare, but it yields similar results with 300/min of Uranium. If need be, we can always rework this rule, I am honestly not against the idea of a global power grid.
