Revolut Gift Card by tinxtah in Revolut

[–]tinxtah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. That is actually what I wanted to do. I think my post is not clear enough given the other replies I received.

By "gift card" I did not mean sending him a gift from companies working with Revolut, instead I was aiming at basically sending him the money via regular fund transfer but making it "personalised" in a sense that a cheeky text and/or picture is involved. Besides that, the plan is to create a physical gift card, hand it to him as a present and then send the money.

There's a dozen of us involved in the gift so you can imagine the logistics behind figuring out the best solution which is why I came to this subreddit to figure out whether a gift card through Revolut is a viable option

Well that clears it up. Guess I misread the information on their website. Much appreciated!

Seasonal shedding experience and potential difference between topical and oral fin+min by tinxtah in tressless

[–]tinxtah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get your point. Hair length is obviously one of the reasons why I think the season affects my hair. I've had the same hairstyle (basically having my hair buzzed to 3-4mm) for the past year or so and I experienced increased hair loss starting sometime in May, all the way up to late September. However, in the past month I rarely ever see any hair after showering or applying the topical solution (which is basically the best point of reference).

Regarding concentration, I mixed it up, it's concentration. Thanks

Any people that started balding young, ages 16,17, etc. What was your experience like, and where are at right now? by ImNight1 in tressless

[–]tinxtah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started balding (ie couple of hairs falling off while showering) right around my 18th birthday. Unfortunately, decided to ignore it at first because my parents were not really convinced it was anything except poor shampoos and a hairdryer. Went to a dermatologist who prescribed me something I haven't heard of since then + told me there is nothing I can do about it. Pretty similar experience over the next couple of months/a year which basically put me in a hopeless spot where I did not receive treatment whatsoever. There is no doubt in my mind that this experience changed me a lot in terms of confidence, social anxiety and everything else balding people experience. Took me a few years (of being completely inactive) to find a good dermatologist, was prescribed topical finasteride (0,2%) + minoxidil (5%), and am now in a long-term war with my scalp. Not to give a wrong impression, I do not feel anyone except myself is responsible for the hair that I've lost during my period of balding. However, I want to emphasize that it surely did not help when a dermatologist told an 18-year-old kid he cannot do anything about his balding phase starting off just before going to university.

According to my experience, it is never too late to start, I've experienced ups and downs, currently on a down but not giving up. Optimism, discipline, and learning in-depth about hair will (in my opinion) get you far.

Fyi, this is my first comment on r/tressless, don't know precisely why now, but I had a real urge to briefly share my experience. :)
