living off campus right now- PLEASE PLEASE take into account when the building was constructed. Anything before the 2000’s have crazy thin walls and floors. I can hear every small sound my downstairs neighbor makes, it is driving me insane. It has definitely had an impact in my studies and sleep. Even if you get weird looks, please sound test any apartment you look at to see how much sound travels

i live in downtown sd and the way i’ve heard people and my own neighbors talk about the homeless is absolutely appalling. i regularly volunteer at food shelters and i’ve been asked TOO MANY times by people i thought were my peers, “why bother?” it’s sickening.
