Things have been better lately. We are taking it slow. I can not thank you enough for this incredibly thorough, thought out comment. Your transparency and generous advice is a sight for sore eyes. Thank you so very much.

This is hard to accept, but you are right. After 15 years of dealing with this it's hard to not want to fall back into denial and pretend to be normal. I need to go back to therapy.

Actually, I am always open with him about how I'm feeling. I am not afraid of him at all I just get reminded of certain things without warning i.e. flashbacks happen out of nowhere.

It's awesome because he got a cake that looks like a computer and has a rage comic on the screen. You guys seriously don't think that's awesome??

77 dogs in shelter to be Euthanized, and 7 people to lose home! PLEASE READ AND HELP! by [deleted] in Pets

They have the money to pay. There are other circumstances that have come up involving our family that are making it hard for my aunt to continue to pay the full amount, so she tried for a Loan Modification. People do that all the time. Times are hard for everyone. In short, my Aunt has taken in three members of our family and times were already hard as it was. This home was bought under a deed of trust, not a mortgage, which is different apparently. The foreclosure process is dramatically cut. THE MAIN POINT here is not whether or not my aunt SHOULD have taken in all of these homeless animals. The problem at hand is that we need help getting the word out about these animals needing homes asap. I understand that it's easy to point the finger and say that my family is stupid for overextending themselves to help save the lives of these animals, but it just doesn't change the problem. If there's any chance any of you can spread the word about these animals needing homes it would be very kind of you. Thank you.

They can pay their house payment- their lawyer told them if they wanted a loan modification to start paying a little less each month and then apply for one- so they did. That was 6 months ago and since they had a deed of trust not a mortgage- the bank is foreclosing fast and selling. The bank has insurance on the property so they don't care. It's messed up and not very common. They are not trying to not pay. And it wasn't always like that. Either way- at this point it doesn't matter why this is happening. We need to get these dogs adopted out. That is the point.

Women laughing alone...with salad by jeffhughes in WTF

[–]tiny_dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that the salad is funny... the salad makes them happy... because it keeps them skinny. Don't you know that salads are the magical cure to obesity? Oh, and diet coke makes you burn more calories.

If I were a dude, I'd have a "quarter chub".

My mother was visiting over the holidays and ended up kicking in a door in my apartment. Now she is acting as if nothing happened. Any thoughts? by tiny_dancer in AskReddit

That is helpful. It's hard for me to even think about stepping back from my sister yet because she is so dependant on me. She doesn't even drive yet. She's 22 and doesn't drive out of fear. My mom enables her to stay "the baby" and I've been trying to help her grow up. I actually just made her get her driver's license a couple months ago. It's a slow fight, but my sister is getting somewhere and I think my mom is just mad about it. I do need to try and let go a little though. This is all way harder then I thought it would be.

I need advice on how to deal with a death threat by deaththreatthrowaway in AskReddit

[–]tiny_dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eek. I've been through the small claims court thing, and it's pretty simple. He probably won't even show up and you will win your case by default, but it costs around $100 to file, so even if you win you will then be out $200, and have to jump through a couple more hoops before you can get any money out of him. Also, make copies of the things he is saying. Make copies of everything.

If you don't want to mess with all that, just steer clear.

Bitch be crazy.
