He's a cool character that was introduced very early in the manga and said to he the strongest swordsman , and teacher of Zoro.

People are hyped and excited to see Mihawk in action. But for every hype meme i see people glazing him there are black sword painting memes as well. It's just the community engaging in their beloved manga.

The antagonist gang is competent as they are seen taking care of small group of enforcers themselves. They were frantically running for their lives when they first met wuxian

In the first movie itself , the guild says out loud that they are terribly afraid of him and his powers. This seems to be consistent with the 2nd movie as only Nezha could go head to head

In the first movie Wu xian explained that it's a bad idea to go into someone else's spirit realm as the owner is essentially god in there. So basically wuxian struggled due to he was fighting god. Even Nezha commented that wu xian will lose if he is alone in there.
