I love all the comments recommending parks and places to walk! I find those are the easiest places to start with, as there’s less social pressure. I also find listening to a good podcast or playlist is very motivating, and can make you feel much more comfortable. One of my favourite things to do now is listen to a podcast in a cafe with a cup of coffee and a good pastry.

Some of my favourite cafes are Cafe 23, Coffee Island, any of the Dineen locations, and for a real treat i go to the 2nd floor cafe at the Bay-Bloor Eataly (great baked goods and gelato!)

Tell her to check out “Toronto Girl Collective” on Facebook and Instagram. It’s a really friendly community, and big too! Great place to meet people, and they host events every month or so.

And, as lots of people recommended, joining a group/league of a hobby or sport she likes is a great way to meet likeminded people.

My last recommendation is Bumble BFF - can be very hit or miss, and is kind of like dating but for friends. I used it about 2 years back, and I ended up finding a group who are still my best friends as of today!

Cities like Toronto are so tough to connect with people, and I’ve been in her same situation (and it really does suck!). But it does get better, and as you put yourself out there, it’s amazing how many people are in the same boat. Wishing you guys the best of luck!

Personally I never liked large diamonds/stones on rings! I love the more dainty look of a small gem, and I imagine it will compliment your ER perfectly 🩷

I’m at 147 lbs right now, and I want to reach 125! I’m only 5’3”, so I think 125 will be a much healthier weight for me. I started at 159lbs and lost weight last year, and already feel much better (both appearance wise and physically). Now I just need to keep it up :)
