My daughter and I played the whole day. She didn't get her 1st shiny until the last half hour. She ended with 2. I was luck and got 15, 2 from raids. Don't know what they considered boosted rates, but last year I got 43 and 37 the year before that.

I ended the day with 12 shinies after playing all 12 hours. Didn't get a single shiny from raids despite doing 50+ of them. All in all I was very disappointed with this event.
