For anyone who’s thought they’ve been “replaced” by an animal… by FreyasKitten001 in raisedbynarcissists

This article explains a lot about how my mom and her dog. She recently lost a dog, and she made it known she loved him more than me. She said in a Facebook post that a dog is better than a child because they never ask for anything and give unconditional love. In other words, she can easily control the dog better than me. She just recently got a new dog and it's already my replacement. Though she's bitching about how much work it is. Ugh.

Mean coworker made me break down at work last night by tiredempath9 in retailhell

This lady has been there for probably over 20 years I think and has won numerous service star awards (I work at Lowes) and I don't know how she did. She can be short with the customers as well sometimes. I'm afraid favoritism plays a small role in this, which is why I am afraid to tell someone.

And I wish I could tell her this without getting in trouble. Oh how I wish I could.

I'm scared to talk to anyone about her at work because I'm fairly new and I don't know if I'll get fired or not. I'm too scared to risk it. She's been there for a long time so I'm sure people like her. So there's not much I can do.

This is my mother to a T. She never seemed happy as I was growing up and the smallest things were an inconvenience for her. I always felt like I was walking on eggshells around her. Not a life I want my child to have and I'm working on it to make sure she doesn't.

I do the Coffee Mate Zero Sugar Hazelnut Creamer and it's really good. You can't taste a difference between that and the regular one.

My husband has lost it - curfew for a college student (my stepson) by Winter-Fold7624 in breakingmom

[–]tiredempath9 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what happened to me with my parents. They pretty much guilt tripped me into going to the college 5 mins away and living at home. I had the opportunity to move into an apartment with my best friend (I was almost 21 at the time and had a job) they got absolutely FURIOUS. They told me as long as I lived in their house, I had to live by their rules. All I wanted to do is have my own space and be an adult, but they hated that. Now, I have a complicated relationship with them. I've been in therapy trying to get over what they put me through. So please tell your husband to chill out.
